I want to know which file from ATI Catalyst drivers is responsible for GPU and Memory clocks?
If it's possible i want to replace that file from Catalyst 10.7 with that from 10.4 version to resolve the 2D clocks bug.
    Anyone?

Me too, Ive tried changing the profiles as in the old way but it always reverts back to the full clock settings, even tried locking the files but it still shows the wrong settings in overdrive even when it says its correct in the profile.
    Whats going on????

    Same problem

I just tried 10.7, same as 10.6. Ever since 10.6 my 2d clocks are too high. My 2d clocks are 400/1125. With 10.4 they clock down just fine to 157/300.

I guess I have to uninstall 10.7 and go back to 10.4 yet again. Frustrating.

Oh by the way I'm doing a small overclock of 775/1125. Stock is 725/1000 I believe.

Do you guys have Ati tray tools installed on your PCs? If you do have go to overclocking option in ATT and set default clocks again.

But it doesn't solves the problem if you like to overclock your card.

I changed the values but the overriding values stored elsewhere!!

Is there any way of modding these drivers to change the 2D clocks back?!

Very unhappy at ATI implementing these clock changes...as I bought my Asus card for its 3D OC'ing that I dont want to do cos of the 2D clock issues on recent drivers!

    No.
    The values are stored there.
You have to change it, then go to Start>All Programs>Catalyst Control Center>Restart Runtime
    Then, see if it works.

I don't think that will work. The voltage as well as the clock rate are increased. Profiles don't have specific voltage settings.

Same happens here... do you think "dumping" the vga card bios, editing the 3D clocks and flashing again would solve the problem..? i'm tempted to try it :p

I just changed my clocks/voltage with a bios mod... so i don't need CCC overdrive and my card clocks down to 157MHz in 2D

Well flashing the bios voids the warranty. I do not want to void my lifetime warranty. There has to be another fix.

    it's not working :(
I replaced all 3 files (Manifest.Bin, Manifest.xml, Profiles.xml) from C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE\ with those from 10.4 but the problem is not solved.
There must be another file from Catalyst drivers who is responsible for GPU and Memory clocks.

How hard is it to use RBE to fix teh 2d clocks? Also can you set the 3d clocks and add extra voltage as well? Also has anyone tried using the profiles tab in afterburner? You can setup a 3d and 2d profile. Not sure if this overides anything or not.
