Turn down the AA level, don't be so demanding ^_^ Try to look past the imperfections of computer generated graphics, only then can you truly enjoy "gaming". :biggun:
I promised myself to never do such a thing. Gaming is a hobby, along with working out, you can't quit hobbies... sure you can tone them down, or take brakes but to give them up alltogether for the sake of making money is just... not something I would do. Btw, this thread reminds me of ''Quit WoW'' threads a lot (*insert random_empty_room_picture_for_the_people_who_care_here* because guess what this is a gaming enthusiasts/wow for that matter board after all ), but hey good luck I guess
Well let him quit. He obviously doesn't manage his time very well if he has to quit all together. I travel twice a month for work, and sometimes have to work weekends. I still spend a lot of time with family, girlfriend, and games.
But if I wanted to settle for less I would have just kept my old GTX280...I didn't pay $600 for a minor boost in performance. It seems now that I have a CPU bottleneck and I am not getting the most out of my card aka MORE COSTS. Which is why I said it's not worth it. It pisses me off, especially when all my new gear will be a POS in 12 months... I need to get a less expensive hobby...
I can't quit gaming. I'm married with several young children. I'd end up on death row. Gaming keeps me borderline sane. :wanker:
I recently sold my GTX295 to put the funds towards a GTX480. While I waited I used my XBOX360 for gaming and to be honest, I am enjoying it more than my PC. The whole gaming experience is so streamlined and effortless. I know the games run sub HD with no AF and if you are lucky, some AA. But I am really appreciating the whole switch on, game, switch off effortless attitude it brings. I can see my selling my PC soon and just concentrating on console gaming. With married life, kids and career I have less time that I had before and it frustrates me when I have to spend some of my gaming time having to tweak settings to get it to run properly. Console gaming doesn't have this. Anyone looking for a custom nuilt corei7 system, keep your eye on ebay.
Are you sure you aren't just posting to show off your fancy new job? Otherwise it's a bit conceited of you to think we would actually care that you have 'quit gaming'... :3eyes: It's a hobby not a bad habit ffs. Strange, my PC works fine without masses of tweaking. Maybe you are doing something wrong...
Trust me, I am doing nothing wrong. It's an obvious fact that pc gaming is dying and it's extremely hard to stay focused on pc gaming when the consoles are pushing it out of the park. I have been pc gaming for over twenty years and it's safe to say that the glory days are over. I hate to see pc gaming in the state it is now but the odd great like Starcraft 2 won't save it.
I couldnt do my job any longer if i'd quit gaming, it keeps refreshing my batteries. Need it like water.
Apologies but I thought you would have picked up on my sarcasm. But honestly, the day pc gaming dies is the day a part of me dies. Like the poster above, having 2 kids and a wife gaming is what keeps me sane. I will never game or buy a console as I refuse to get into the controlled atmosphere that a console has. Pc gaming with it's mods and open environment is what gaming is all about. Why can't console gamers see this?
yeah because all of us dont have good jobs and live in your mums basement... relax OP its your first proper job soon you'll realise its nothing special. they wont force you to work 16 hours a day.
I once didn't game for half a year, i didn't quit though because i was never a gamer. I don't understand how you can quit, sureley you will find yourself on an hour long train journey and will whack out your phone for a game of brick or something similar? Or find half an hour free and just load of bf2 for a round or two?
Quit gaming....NEVER i have been playing games since the i was about 4 years old(late 70s) up to today at the age of 35, i will never quit gaming, but i wish you all the best in your career, sometimes a sacrifice can yield rewards in other areas
That is your opinion but it also happens to be wrong. http://uk.pc.ign.com/articles/110/1107645p1.html You just need to learn to use a PC I'm afraid. Edit: I just read your second post and don't see why or how you'd expect anyone to see the sarcasm in that.
