Downloaded and installed. As above, no real improvements in Heaven BM, not tried Vantage yet. Gaming later!:D

Seems like it'll be newer than 10.7 WHQL with the extra being that OpenGL ES 2.0 functionality over the WHQL build, unsure how 10.8 beta 5 (Or what it was.) that Rflair posted compares but they're probably both fairly stable and of course the 10.8 drivers will have the newest fixes and additions. :)

Whatever, for most people is bug.
It's still here, anyone who tested it?

Just use the other link, not the direct links.

    Video acceleration in VLC works!

So these drivers definitely seem to be a 10.7 build.

Beaten to the punch, but here is my comparison. Rflair's 10.8s wouldnt install on my laptop (persuming lack of mobile support).

The driver version is newer than my previous 10.6 WHQL install, but as you can see, the CCC version is the same.

With other drivers, when enabling Hardware acceleration, I only got single frames, every few seconds, which where extremely blocky and distorted. Now video playback works very well. CPU usage is also lower, compared to CPU decoding.

Still waiting for comparison between rfair's 10.8 and 10.7 WHQL
Something tells me that many people will stay with the leaked 10.8 just like we did with cat 10.3 :)

They probably are, as the 10.7 WHQL's are probably a month old now, these are only a week. :)

Yep, it takes about a month to get them WHQL'ed. So the beta should be newer.

Nobody wants to do test for 2D clocks with 10.7 and 10.8? That will not take you more than 15 seconds guys :)

Very confusing, I must say. I expected the WHQLs to come out today but instead it was betas.

I presume the 10.7 WHQLs will be released on Wednesday then, since ATI normally release them on that day of the week and 28th is the last Wednesday of the month? If these beta drivers are newer then it seems like a better idea for me is to wait for the WHQLs, install them then install the betas over the top to get the correct CCC version number. I never uninstall drivers anyway unless I revert back to an earlier build.

I'll monitor the feedback on here and wait for the WHQLs I think. I'll then decide whether to install the betas or not.
