Ok so for the past few days, having this mad ass cough. Throat is fine but when i start coughing its like swallowing razor blades!! Whats the Gurus best cough remedies?? it seems to get worse on an evening
Depends on the cause of the cough. If it's just a common cough, any over the counter cough drop should work. Some people say to use honey, don't. If it's more serious, see a doctor. Doesn't hurt to grab a flashlight and a mirror and check for sores in the back of your throat which might be causing the pain when you cough. Theres some numbing throat sprays which can help with those.
I was cold. Keep cough. Supposed cough was because of cold. I became good, no more colds. But cough kept continue. At the same time i gone doctor for reflux. U know acid of stomac hurts ur tubes of dont know english name. I got heartburn symptom. And relux makes u cough. So i started to use reflux medicines. But cough kept continue. I gone doctor again in 3 weeks. They made blood test. And there my reazon of cough. Alerji. Alergy? Dont know english word. Allergy to dusts smoke and many other things. In 1 month after using medicines i feel fine. Even used spreys which u breath by mouth u know.
Try getting some menthol drops and put them into a bowl of boiling water, put a towel over your head and your head over the bowl and breath in the steam for 10 mins to losen your chest
To kill the germs, I gargle VERY salty water. If you can't manage this, use mouth wash. Make sure you swallow a little and gargle deep. Take a few aspirins or paracetamol to help any pains. I like to take them with a hot cup of tea. Salt, tea and pain killers.
Milk with honey allways helped me.. Otherwise I'd see a doctor if it really bothers you.. You never know what you got there..

DXM (dextromethorphan hydrobromide) is a good expectorant. Look for stuff that has it in it. But don't have too much or you'll "Robo".
I think in the UK they've taken that out of a lot of medicines..... but will have a look, i'm always up cures that have an "added" extra!! if it persists on Monday will go see the Dr edit: i take that back, found some online, chemists not open until monday now though
Not really got much of a cure for a cough but if ur throat continues to be extremely sore try Tyrozets suckable sweets like strepsils but so much better, they numb ur mouth slightly and really numb the throat, theyre doing me wonders at the moment i have a very bad throat (which will need a doc to look at but been busy with work so). Give em a go, totally recommend em
Gargle with salt in hot water just before bed. Make sure you don't drink anything afterward even though it's hard not to. That will get rid of the sore throat. Then, if you have those uncontrollable coughs....take some Robitussin. Simple methods that work.
if you are a smoker then stop smoking for a few days is the cough productive or dry-when you cough do you bring out mucous from the lungs or is it a dry cough if you take a expectorant for dry cough it will increase your cough also do you have fever if cough is dry then take a cough syrup which suppresses the cough and any lozenges like mentioned above if cough is productive then take a expectorant cough syrup which will liquefy the thick mucous and bring it out if you also have fever i would recommend taking antibiotics also warm salt water gargle is pretty effective for the throat
red hot chilli is a natural cure i've been using for ages, it'll set your mouth on fire but does wonders for the cough. if it doesn't work for you, i recommend Bisolvon Linctus syrup, it's great.
