Pacific vs Band of brothers

Both are superb but me personally its Band of bro's

 

i will wait till pacific has fully finished first.

it is close though but i need to re-watch brothers.

 

i think even the music in band of brothers is better, but i have noticed the fx are better in Pacific

i stopped watching The Pacific at episode 5 and won't be watching the rest don't care anymore, it's not for me.

 

The Pacific isn't even half as good as Band of Brothers.

 

I'm convinced that the Pacific was a joke. I think of the 10 episodes, maybe 2 were good. That's being generous. Yes I realize it's about the horrors of war and believe me I know that they are... but the TELEVISION SHOW (which is meant for entertainment) is hardly worth watching. It had so much potential but fell drastically short. That said, the effects were very well done

 

It's boring, the characters are uninteresting, I never recognized any characters/faces, never could tell character's names. Other than Snafu and his friend.

And the combat scenes at best are underwhelming. Especially Iwo Jima, I didn't even realize that hero guy got killed.

 

Sums it up pretty well. The horrors of war are indeed horrors, and it's a shame the program had to be made in the first place, but it's not a documentary, it's meant to be a form of entertainment that follows the life of the soldiers. It's failed to capture my interest in any other way other than that of a documentary.

Band of Brothers was an epic story. All of Easy company were heroes, and those they faught with, you bonded with every one of them and after the show finished, you wanted more. You felt like you were there with them in a sense. The Pacific has none of this.

Even the Band of Brothers theme sets an emotional reaction.

I REALLY enjoyed BoB, and nearly cried at the end. I usually don't get emotional watching tv shows, but man it was just such a great story, and I really felt an emotional attachment to the characters The Pacific was pretty good, but not BoB good. I try not to compare the two though. I did enjoy Sledge, and the first few episodes dealing with Lecky though.

On a side note I think I could sit and listen to the old timers talk about the war for hours. I have nothing, but absolute respect for all those guys.

 

I prefer BoB over The Pacific. I stopped watching The pacific after the 5th episode, I was expecting something similar to BoB but instead we got a really dark and gritty show about war and wasn't appealing entertainment wise.
BoB was kinda gritty i have to say but it had some humor and you would really like the characters and how they act sometimes.

 

Prefered the more direct approach of The Pacific.

 

BOB FTW............... even Generation kill stands out more that Pacific

characters just make more of a connection in BOB .......

apart from Snafu,lucky,..sledgeham..& hero dude who else can u remember in the pacific . k Snafu wil always stand out.dude super creepy

 

Haven't seen The Pacific, but Band of Brothers is a masterpiece. I'm also proud to say that Major Dick Winters lives just up the road from me in Hershey, PA.

 

Band of Brothers was better in my opinion.

 

I have to go with BOB as well. The pacific is good but I prefer the stories of war in Europe.

 

i think this calls for a night in off back to back BOB and then pacific.

As good as pacific is, i dont think it can top off BOB.

 

I vote Band of Brothers. Thought it was much better.

Not to say The Pacific wasn't good because it was also great, but Band of Brothers IMO is better.
