New mouse - UPDATED Hey all Seeing as my main use for my new mouse will be for gaming, posting it here seems appropriate. I am left handed so my choice is extremely limited when it comes to mice. I have narrowed it down to either of these two: - Razer DeathAdder Left Handed Edition 3500DPI. - SteelSeries Xai Lazer. I would like some advice on which one would work best for me (or in fact just better in terms of feel and durability and how easy it is to press the buttons, including the wheel button and sides). Any personal experience and other expertise regarding these mice will be highly appreciated. Thanks --------------- UPDATE Hey all I decided on the Razer DeathAdder Left Handed Edition 3500DPI. Really happy I did. It fits perfectly and does not slide out. Looks great. Clicking action is perfect as well and the side buttons are well placed. Thanks for all the comments
I've got my doubts about the new DA being as reliable as the old one. I've got a xai atm, doesn't skip, very precise, but if you've got big hands, stay away. It also seems as if it needs alot of power, it has a rating of 5V - 200mA. USB ports come in pairs and apperently the power is shared between the 2 of them, somehow when putting the Xai in 1 port and another device in the other, it often acts up. If I leave both usb ports just for the Xai, it works fine :x
Sorry for jumping in But anyone got an idea of a mouse that my little finger doesn't hang over the side as it's starting to develope badly and i feel it will be bent over when i'm old
my mouse, i only buy this one and nothing else, wouldn't change it for anything in the world.
what about an ambidextrous mouse? like the Razer Lachesis? its pretty awesome and imo better than the deathadder great button placement and just the perfect weight, solid grip and durable. The buttons and the mousewheel gives just the right amount of resistance so you don't for instance accidentally scroll while pressing mousebutton3. the two top-placed sensitivity keys are also extremely nice for gaming. And it looks damn cool
Not for gaming. They slip forwards out of your hand. Depends on what you are using now, but I think I have the same problem as you. Using a G9x and my little finger is numb. My old Logitech Basic had a better shape which fit the whole hand. The G500 appears to share a similar, slim shape. What you want is long and slim, not too tall or round.
I tested the Lachesis and read a couple of reviews. Firstly it slips out of my hand and secondly most reviewers are not too fond of it... Thanks for your input
I can't express enough how much I hate that mouse... the weight of my fingers alone clicks the right mouse button, and it's light as all hell.
