    Hi

Ive had my gtx 470 about 4-5 weeks all been fine.until last night this morning im getting little tiny pink pixels flashing on the screen?

This then followed to massive corruption on screen orange and pink lines everywhere?

Is this a Memory fault of the card,im trying to replicate the fault but since ive rebooting machine i dont get any corruption

Ive just had a RMA accepted from the retailer

    Edit:

When i plugged in a separate monitor i had the same corruption?

since though i cant replicate this fault?

No doesn't sound like vram. More likely GPU from what you've described.

Have you stress tested it? eg; with Vantage?

The pink pixels - were there lots of them all over the screen about the size of, well, the size of a pixel?

yes lots all over screen slightly flashing,
then on and off whole screen was orange and pink lines everywhere
Also had corruption on the taskbar flashing pixels

havent stressed tested it as its boxed up ready for RMA

Im certain its video related as this fault has happened on 2 separate screens.

I just hope retailer can replicate the fault

It's probably the GPU. It's a little hard to say for sure but they will definitely see it.
You can check and see if it's overheating, but ya just RMA it.

Overheating vram gives black or white dots, fried gives squares, gpu gives different colored stuff with spikey looking bits as well...

Yup its a faulty GPU, it happened to me with my first GTX480 - the Pink and white squares all over the screen. RMA it and get a replacement ;)

Seems like nvidia is getting terrible yields with their Fermi cards. I see why they only enabled 480/512 cores even on their top model.

Well a little update i have since returned the card back to the retailer who have tested it.

They have informed me that they can not find any fault with the card and have sent it back to Palit for further testing.

When i had the corruptions and pink pixels flashing i could not replicate the fault again 10 mins later?,but im certain that its the video card thats at fault.

I await Palit to inform the retailer there findings.

PSU is fine and is only a few months old.

Its also been tested and its working 100%

Im also waiting on a mobo to be returned from Foxconn and have now been waiting nearly 4 weeks!

Because of this i have ordered a GTX 480 yesterday:) and will sell my GTX 470 when returned.

same here. my retailer tested it and they say cant find any fault with it. but i keep bitching and today they called and agree to give me a new one :D . so far so good. and running at lower vcore too ( old 1.025mV, new 0.912mV ). so i think its definetly ur card. did you test with other nvidia card with same driver?
