I have fond memories of eating Black Forest Gateau in the early 80's which was the big dessert of the time, sadly this has been condemmed to the food fashion grave yard since then.
You can still get Texan bars (well at least until last year - haven't seen one more recently). Found them in an Indian corner shop in Woking. I miss: Puffa Puffa Rice breakfast cereal Original Birdseye Fish Fingers (the ones with proper breadcrumbs which would brown up nicely and you could strip em off and save them til last. Detective Cheroots - chocolate flavour candy sticks. Cider for 60p / pint (when I was at college)
Boiled bacon with paprika and finely chopped garlic. Yellow split-pea soup: My granny, may God rest her soul, used to make these. Nowadays, hardly anyone knows these foods even exist (sigh!).
There was one thing that I missed really really bad. But with the kindness and generosity of someone here, I was able to get back the taste of pomme frites (french fries) that I used to get in Germany.
most malaysian spicy foods, garlic naan, my mom's cooking,.. good thing im going back home for summer holiday next month here dont have all those.
Out of Fast Food I miss Jack in the Box.. they had awesome taco's when they were here in NY way back when... Also miss wontons from the chinese spot I go to.. they sold it to their family, and ever since they're horrible!
The old Pizza Hut recipe, from about 10 years ago. They seemed to use much better ingredients back then, and much more of them too! These days you get so little cheese. Got a Papa Johns on the way, now that's a pizza!
american stuff -awesome cereal (fruity pebbles ftw) -some of the fastfoods (kfc, dominos, papa johns, whataburger, etc) -snacks (HOT CHEETOS I FKIN LIVE FOR THIS STUFF) -mountain dew etc all which they dont have here :[
Funny you should mention that just as I'm drinking this amazing drink I only discovered last week! It's incredible! 5% alcohol iced tea ftw. On the bottle it says 'Works like beer, but tastes like tea!'

Mmmmm, Mmmmm....dam its good. hmm, think i'll have some Fruity Pebbles in the morning for breakfast now that you bring it up. Shame your missing out *nom, nom* yep, darn shame*nom nom* oh its soooo goood.
yes but he has something you don't have, Swedish women and no food could substitute that. Swedish women vs fruity pebbles I know what I'll chose.
Dear lord I used to love those. I had my last one a couple of years ago, bought it off of a ice cream truck.
I miss Tronky alot. Used to snack on it all the time. Although it is still produced i cannot find it in my region. Boohoo.
