I'm not scared of liquid cooling or the cost really but i just don't know what to buy.

Would anyone be able to look at a store (eg Overclockers.co.uk) and say "right apoc_reg, buy this this and this and your good to go!"? Would REALLY appreciate it!

Do feel like with my GTX480 I owe it to myself to be doing this!

Tghe overclocked performance is very impresive, we need reviews of 480's on ciustom air coolers to see what clocks and temps that produces.

Don't use overclockers for water cooling parts. Visit a proper dedicated site something like the following http://www.chilledpc.co.uk/shop/ or http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/. Look up some water cooling guides online :)

Pretty awesome performance there, what a difference watercooling has made. Shame power consumption is still nuts lol

    Overclockers are not that good.

    Given the cost of this...

Why not just get two 5870s or two GTX 470s...?

EDIT: Also, the article says you're at 1.125 volts, but your afterburner screen reads 1.138.

Will it? I mean, it definitely will get faster, but we're really running into diminishing returns here. The move from 65 to 40 was nice, but it was also a fair jump.

This next one is just from 40 to 28. It's about half the jump, surely the difference won't be that large.

I wanted to give you my feedback on this. First let me say that I have had 5870s in crossfire before comming back to NVIDIA GTX 480s in SLI. ATIs eyefinity is a great set up and sold me on triple monitors. However I am a huge fan of NVIDIA (personal reasons like I always felt nvidia ran smoother especially on the games that I play, and really liked the drivers and updates more) After I got my GTX480s, I was really impressed with the cards performance wise. However the heat and noise was unbeleiveable to me. (50C to 89C and could hear the fans over my headphones) So I purchased the Swiftech MCR320-DRIVE 3 x 120mm Radiator w/ Integrated Pump Housing, 2 x EK-FC480 GTX for Nvidai GTX 480, and 3 x Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120 mm. Set up everything using 1/2" I.D. fittings and hoses. I am running a single GPU only loop. I cant tell you how happy I am now! The cards run at 32C to 54C and are barely warm to the touch. The system is very quiet with the Gentle Typhoons. So now I sit in front of 3 monitors patiently waiting for the 256 series drivers, (but now I am smiling ear to ear). Hopes this helps you a little bit as all questions can not be answered until the surround drivers appear. I have a good feeling about how they will work!

40nm->28nm and 65nm->40nm is less than 10% difference in jump + other process improvements for 28nm.

I would say its a major jump even if its slightly less than previous.

I smell another HD2900XT case here... power efficiency is about only problem of Fermi architechture.
