Turn off Vsync. Your monitor refresh rate is most likely 60hz. Your limiting your FPS to 60 by turning vsync on to eliminate screen tearing.

    vsync, basically means.
    short for

Vertical Syncronisation, so locks the vertical refresh to that of monitor, to sync them together, giving a smooth framerate as its constant and ties in with monitor, avoids tearing, and in many respects will look smoother than say 56054050450450450 fps.

However many people dont like it and prefer to get the max framerate poss from their cards.

Personally ive found over 100fps, then vsync isnt needed.

    Personal choice.

Funny, you want to have Vsync turned on even if you don't know what actually do. Anyway, turn off vsync and you should get more than 60fps.
