I thought that Shogo: Mobile Armor Division also could do that. But not sure about that, been ages i last played/seen that game.
But sounds and look cool so far. And lets hope these guys gets mouse input right, unlike the last transformer game; mouse input was totally rubbish.

I also hope that this game will have some decent/proper network code, hit registration and anti-cheat; must have for any online FPS game.
"I shot in his face while he was transforming but i got no hit at all instead! wtfbbq!"

I read the preview in GI, and was impressed. Video has me stoked. Seeing the wife's reaction to another 60 dollars "down the drain" = Priceless.

I remember being able to do that in Vortex on the SNES.

Only $40 USD on Steam... that price is rather attractive. I'll wait for some reviews that aren't IGN though. It looks like awesome fun though and I need something to play for 3-4 days until APB comes out for real :p

ign gave it s 9.0 so looks promising, but boy all the comments on ign seem more focused on the fact that activision is publishing it lol.

to summerize the review ok story, does alot to tie up some loose ends in the transformers lore, and is official cannon according to hasbro, does have gaps at points of the story like some parts got cut entirely or did not get made. Where the game really pwns is the combat and forcing you to use strategic thinking in using your ability to transform and effective combat mechanics in general, boss fights are the weak point.

one big plus is that this game did not design the game to be gimicy in any way like the other transformers games force you to fight as a robot force you to chase around as a vehicle, the levels and the combat seem much more organic and not forced.

so yea unless ign was not blowing smoke and you can get over the fact that activision is attached to the title looks like it might be a good pick up.

    .

    Picked it up today.
Pretty fun but pretty shallow gun play. Graphics are decent but no AA option.
Seems to run fine. A couple stutters here and there (loading I think).
Overall pretty good. And it's cheap too. 39.99.

I just picked this game up and it's lying on my desk at work haha. Is it possible to force AA in this game with ATI cards?

I picked it up today. I hate to inform yall that there are almost no graphics options yet again (like Split Second). The framerate is currenlty capped at 30FPS. If its an unreal engine game it should be able to go higher with config tweaks. Unfortunetly the Coalesced file is all random symbols and cant really be edited (like Split Second)...
I have been waiting for this game from all the hype the console version has been getting...Its a shame the PC has to be handicapped to the console version ;/ So basically its a straight console port.
There goes my hope for a replacement for Unreal Tournament.

I dont get why they cap it at 30FPS...friggin weak ass consoles. Oddly enough, console people dont even realize that its laggy. At least cap it at 60FPS! Even the movies are played at 100FPS and look smoother than the gameplay. AA or supersampling cannot be forced either ;/ I wanted more games on PC, but not like this :( Still a pretty kool game though. I just started the single player.
I have already gotten no error crashes to desktop twice already. My temps were fine hmm...I hope it doesnt have the same problem as UT3 crashing without warning.

*textures arent the best, but lighting effects are decent.
