But please note that my posted score was run with PhysX disabled. I'm playing with the i7 930 now and have it at 4.4GHz @1.42V (air). I'll post a score soon (SuperPi 1M is down to 8.900 seconds though).

well 4x GTX275's (2x GTX295's) is still gonna deliver stonking performance...... but it probably uses 3x as much power & delivers enough heat to keep a small family warn through the winter...

    & no DX11

As my info shows ... I have a bit older pc and got a 5850 as a first step to a new PC.

other parts are gonna come as soon as i have cash for them.

    Problem: 5850 + vantage = 12k gpu score.

Is it the Cpu bottlenecking the Gpu ?
It also runs on PCIe 1.1 but from what i've researched it's not slowing it unless i want CF config.

so .. any ideas or confirmations on the cpu killing the gpu ?

most probably CPU. But from my experience with my setup, i used to have Q6600@ 3.5GHz + 5850 + PCIe1.1(P35) system which has become my 2nd rig right now and Vantage score only 12k. That's a 2k lower than normal 5850 score. I solved my low score by Installing Win7 64bit, it works for me but since you're using different CPU(dual core), I cant really say. Perhaps you should OC your CPU up to at least 3.2GHz or above and compare the vantage score again...try that first.

    I already use win7 x64

After my post last night i got my cpu from 2.4 to 2.8 and tried a test .. it went from 12k to 13k (gpu score)

I suppose this is the problem and i have to figure out how to upgrade faster.

edit: i'm a beginner with watercooling, so is there another program that you can push it even further? With afterburner the limit is 1350V :)

Well, just finished building my PC. Finally.

    Everything stock, on air.
Next week the water cooling go's in and I'll see what I get after some overclocking.
