Looking for advice. I'm running an XFX Black 260gtx right now and was given a defective EVGA 280 FTW card. I sent it in for RMA and I'm not sure if they will send me back a 280 or a 285. The question is What should i run in my machine. the 260 and the 280 seem evenly mached so im not sure its worth pulling my rig apart. 285 seems a tad faster. but i could sell the 285 for more money.
If your not finding your self in need of more fps then you might as well sell it and use the money on something else, or you can use the money and get a second gtx 260 for sli if you have the option that would be better then one gtx 280/285.
Unfortunately my asus board will do crossfire not sli. I guess since i I ended up with the evga 280gtx ftw for free and it is faster then my 260 black edition by a little bit i might as well use it. cant afford any other upgrade. i can always sell my 260 with its transferable life time warranty. or i suppose i could just keep it for physx.. kinda overkill though
I suppose, but then again, other then batman have we even seen a physx game that screams "I NEED A 260 TO MAKE MY WOOD PARTICLES GO BOOM!"
