same here, did a clean install and now the idle is back at 157/300. havent tried any games yet but will update on how it goes.. for rest system seemed stable and maybe somewhat better and smoother with flash videos (with hardware acceleration enabled)

edit: its a negative on getting back to 157/300 at idle .. it seems this only works when you keep your card at stock speed. any overclocking will cause it to stay at higher speeds.. which isnt a bad thing either.

I am finding these to be a good set they perform a touch better than 10.3b not by much but are more stable and optimized in all my benches than the last leaked set. I really hope these are the 10.4WHQL's as the extra video enhancements are rather good. No problems with these at all clocks are correct in idle and can OC without any problems.

    rflair thanks again.

Partial Fix for those getting higher then normal 2D clock frequency

I only replaced 2 files from this beta. Read below for details. Idle temps are normal again and still have 157/300 for 2D.

I performed a little experiment. I already reverted back to Cat 10.3b but wanted to see if I could use 2 files from this beta to see if my load time would still decrease. Here is what I did:
    -went to c:\windows\system32
-made copies of atidxx32.dll and atiumdag.dll then deleted the original files.
    -went to 8.74\Packages\Drivers\Display\(pick either w7_inf, w76A_inf, xp_inf or xp6A_inf according to your OS)\B_98259\
    -expanded atidxx32.dl_ and atiumdag.dl_ to atidxx32.dll and atiumdag.dll (4-6-2010)
    -place them into C:\windows\system32
-logged out and back in to desktop

Then I played BC2 and noticed the following load times:
-Entering server for the 1st time took 7 seconds
-The next 2-3 maps afterwards loaded in about 4 seconds

For 64 bit users I suggest making backups, removing, replacing and expanding atidxx32.dll, atiumdag.dll, atidxx64.dll and atiumdag64.dll according to what's already found in that subdirectory of windows.

Anyone got a decent speed d/l for these drivers? None of the faster ones are working :(

(google docs showing 403 forbidden error, and hotfiles giving less than 20kbs)

Heaven 2.0 shows the same corruption at the same place every time, its done it with the 10.3, 10.3 performance, 10.4 preview, 10.4 unofficall, 10.4 beta, and 10.4 OpenGL and now these drivers

Same spot every time, doesn't matter if its stock or overclocks

Chalking it up to heaven 2.0 error for that part then, but it definitely is running a ton faster!
