" LINK I TOOK DOWN BECAUSE THATS THE DX10 version, so i guess when you uninstall your drivers or do a fresh install, let windows install the drivers for you, but turn off " Windows update in MSCONFIG FIRST ". Make sure in dxdiag it reads Direct3D 9Ex " You guys know how i found that trick where you can install XP cataylst Drivers onto Windows 7 if you wanted to enable dx9/to have xp performance, but have the look of windows 7 instead of going back to xp. Well interesting for nvidia, i uninstall my drivers, and windows goes to install a driver for you, this is what i have: Please note, anyone who is using a nvidia card and lets windows install the latest driver, might end up with these drivers, but keep in mind, the DDI version says De9, meaning directX9. And for those worrying about using DX10, yes you will :wanker:, but you still get to keep AERO AND ALL those other windows 7 features, don't believe me? The only flaw, no full open support and no nvidia cp THE BRIGHT SIDE, NVIDIA TRAY TOOLS WORKS IN WINDOWS 7 On a last note, would be nice if nvidia did release some 185.93 Official WHQL drivers.
And also i found this: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee890072(VS.85).aspx My only question is there a way to use the Newer Drivers official ones and someone can mod them to enable Direct3D 9Ex?
Well this sucks, i can't get my DDI version to say Direct3D 9Ex anymore and i have that same WDDM v1.1 driver install after doing a fresh install of windows 7. hmmmmm
why do we need d3d 9ex???? as dx11 covers all the lower version of directx versions!! May be im wrong :
I was doing some testing and in this case: continues, in this case: Win7 with XP performance with Nvidia. But i can't get back the Direct3D9EX anymore :bang:
I did not want to be 1st to say that so thanks. I do not even know if it ever made a OS faster to force a Non Current DX version instead of running backwards compatibility in current DX. I think if your running Win7 and are not happy with your performance you need better hardware.
Ok, but can someone help me find a driver that enables Direct3DEX9 please, it shown up the other night , which to why i made the thread, but i can't seem to get it back, because i don't even remember how i got it in the first place LMFAO
Why are you trying to only use DirectX 9 when every one else is pushing for DX11? Let alone DX10. I can understand being forced to use DX9 when you are using XP, but why purposely limit yourself on Windows 7?
so you think that by removing dx10 all of a sudden dx9 is performance is going to soar? If so i have a bridge you can buy.
