No, the technology and demo shown in GDC + the annonce of AMD months ago when they have sign with Pixelux Entertainment for use their DMM engine ( actually used with Maya and 3Dmax studio) was say the invert: It's an openCL feature and will be offcourse available for both ATI, Nvidia brand, the engine can be run through CPU as GPU or use both at same time it seems.

If you want a good explanation of what is DMM http://ps3.ign.com/articles/960/960893p1.html

Have you got any performance numbers? This piece of software is out of my league price-wise. I'm interested in whether using both or just gpu is faster and which brand is faster right now.

All of this is not for today, it's a "work in progres"s for now, can't tell when AMD will finish this engine, ....

I thought you weren't keen on these anymore, what do you know that we don't :3eyes:

It's not looking good for aus if they are $550u.s etc, I was hoping for $550-600aus...

I head from one reviewer who has these cards, that it's going give supricing results... Now is it much faster or slower than ATI's is the question. :p

Wow, 350 for a brand new card really isnt all that terrible coming from nvidia. I will definitely wait a while before going for new stuff. I almost doubt my Q6600 is going to handle a gtx 480 with care. Plus, my screen is only 60hz, who needs 120fps :D? I might spring for a cheap dx 11 card around = to a gtx 260 if a lot of nice dx 11 games come out. Think I'll wait a while before buying the best of the best again hate to say it...

Cant wait to see what you get on your benches bodar, might entice me into saving for one later on...

Be specific man!, I need to know what minute in the U.S it is available so world clock can tell me what time in the A.M to set my alarm for to read this shizniz.

It's 3pm on the 26th here already, I assume if it is coming out at 6pm U.S then I have an many as 21hrs to wait...as I think the furthest, ( most west ) place in the U.S is 18hrs behind me here in GMT+10

$350 USD for an Nvidia card isn't bad at all, its the same cost as my 7800GT back in 2006-07, hell I remember paying over $400 for a 6800GT. In my opinion, I think we spoiled a bit, when Nvidia actually priced the GTX 200 series, as I bought my 1st card for $279 US, 2nd one used for $130.
