ATI CrossFire Xtension v1.4 - A way to force crossfire w/ profiles

Has anyone tried it for the BF BC2 beta? the water flashes with XFire enabled.

 

Yeah, if you set it to SuperSampling AA Crossfire mode or even SuperTiling mode it gets rid of the flashing completely.

 

hmmm going to try this out and see if different xfire rendering methods can fix the flashbang bug in MW2...?

EDIT: How can I get this to work with STEAM games... everytime I load a game it tells me that "steam needs to be running to play this game" well I have it running and it still will not launch the game???

 

Just point it towards the game .exe in the Steam/steamapps/common/Game Name/game.exe folder. That will automatically start-up Steam for you when you run it.

I can run all my Steam games using it.

 

Well I have selected the MW2 mp.exe from folder Steam\steamapps\common\MW2\game.exe changed my settings the way I want them and pressed launch and I get that message??

Could it be because I have Steam on a separate HDD?

i couldnt use it with Shattered Horizon on Steam...

the game runs but the crossfire method doesnt seem to work even if i change it...
because i get those flashing!

by the way.. where is the registry key for crossfire methods

Well I have tried everything and I can not get this to fix the flashing in MW2 or BF:BC2 either.

BC2 for some reason runs without steam when I launch this. But MW2 just will not run at all.

Also I selected iw3mp.exe for MW2 and BF2.exe for BC2 and it changes nothing... none of metods work at all....

Anyone care to help me out here?

This fixed the flashing open ocean but my frame rate seems to have dropped into a range where I can notice it now. I don't have specific numbers as I don't have a way to check fps in BC2.

 

what are your exact settings? I can't seem to get rid of the flashing either. I'm running xfire 4890's stock speeds. everything maxed in game.

for the xtension i pointed it to bfbc2game.exe. no arguments, no forced video quality settings, crossfire method super AA, force crossfire support not checked. (I tried checking it but I'm not sure what profile to use either but both has the water flashing)

 

Tried using this tool on stalker call of pripyat to fix a flickering i get (the game doesnt work with Vsync, so i cant use the normal fix for this issue) - yet changing the profiles seems to make no change whatsoever.


Maybe add an option to forcibly DISABLE crossfire , so i dont have to go turning it on and off when changing games in the CCC?

When i first try ati xtension with the game enemy territory

i used the option opengl /and use it with 4830 crossfire setup

system crashed completly ,now i wanna try it again but Xtension give a error message when launce the game true xtension.

This program is obsolete.

Use AMD's Catalyst 12.1 Preview drivers instead.

It has built-in ability to force Crossfire:

I do have it somewhere on my drives, but I can't be arsed to dig around across several machines...moved over to nvidia after both my 4870x2's died.
