possible issue with att and bsod's

this is not about att its self I got a new cpu and was overclocking during the stress test it bsod a few times and everytime the bsdo screen was Corrupt with blocky yellow and green artifacts I just attributed it to to much OC and continued to oc and test until I happened to disable att my mistake I forgot about it and continued testing the nexttime it bsod'd the artifacts where gone
I have since got the OC stable but I am wondering if ATT could cause such corruption

When I installed the latest beta everything ran just fine. A couple of days later this started to popup:

"The Catalyst Control Center is not supported by the driver version of your enabled graphics adapter. Please update your ATI graphics driver, or enable your ATI adapter using the Display Manager".

Seems to be some kind of conflict. Everything is still working fine, except from CCC complains.
I get the error message everytime I boot up Windows.

So why do I get the message and how can I get rid of it? ;)

    Windows 7 x64...

Yeah I tried that but I get som damn packet failure during installation of both catalyst v9.12 and v9.12 hotfix. Catalyst v9.11 works fine though.

EDIT: Heh the only thing it failed to install was the error reporting stuff.
The driver (v9.12 hotfix) seems to work fine as long as ATT isn't installed. I get random bluescreens if I install it.

Hi Ray, i'd like to leave a couple of ideas: Would it be possible to add an option into Game Profiles that would run an application upon the profile activation (like the one in auto-overclocking with 2D/3D modes)? If it's just a matter of parsing a parameter to the current command, a Radio Button to choose wether to run the launched application window minimized/hidden or the normal (restored) way would be a plus. The other idea is to add a shortcut in the shortcut list to toggle the OSD status (OSD function enabled/disabled).
I hope i'm not asking too much, but these seemed to be rather simple options to implement and would add a pretty useful functionality to ATT (launch a gamepad mapper application, change windows power plan, launch xfire/raptr, change CPU clock through 3rd party app upon game launch/close, etc...).
And again, thanks for the already amazing application :)

That would be strange. If ATT is meant to aid your overclocking needs among
other things, it'd be much more logical to have sufficient OC support in ATT
itself (overvolting of Cypress chips, extended clock range, what else is
    missing?)

That option will just show/hide the OSD, i suggested a shortcut to enable/disable it, like the checkbox in Game Profiles or OSD Options. Not a big deal btw, just tought it might be a nice option.
your GPU overclocking needs, i said CPU overclocking. IMHO, i don't think ATT should deal with CPU OC :eek:c:
I can do that, but how can i make a game profile summon it?:help:

:) There are no needs to run game from ATT main menu :) Just register .exe file in ATT and run it from any other sources. ATT will automatically detect what application started and apply appropriate settings.

    Hi Ray!
What's the latest changelog for the build 1.6.9.1464? Thanks.

    --------

I've contacted Valve Software submitting our problem with ATT Overlay and the Steam's one.
They said they does not support third party software and this problem isn't in they're priorities... :3eyes:
They doesn't mention a possible verification of running programs with OSDs during Steam or Steam Apps launch...
It's possible to enable/disable ATT OSD with a combination of keys (Ctrl+O or something else)
Dunno, you are THE MAN! :nerd:

Some updates for HD5xxx voltages , now only min and max can be selected and some GUI fixes.

    As always! :)

They say not the truth :) I sow log report from one user where everyone can find why Steam doesn't want to load its own OSD engine.

Ray Adams: does latest beta (from 7.1.2010) support HD4770? I can't set fan RPM :( And overclocking doesn't seem to work either.

    Thanks for help.

I see, but the thing is, i actually launch my games from xfire, so i was looking for a way to launch other programs (xpadder for some games, and powercfg to speed up the CPU for apps that don't fire VGA's 3D Mode like Photoshop) upon the .exe detection by ATT.

Like the Events thing under Auto Overclocking, but on profiles too :)

    Thanks so much!

Damn it. Really I dunno why software houses deserves support to other software!
Our target is not a whim, just an overlay...
Now I think if you want to implement your OSD with Steam platform, you may write a wrapper or something else that hid att's main executable to Steam engine and set it to high priority...
OR, go ahead with your ATT proj and f**k off Steam, renounce to make att compatible with. :micro:

Ray Adams: why? It was released somewhere around April 2009. HD5000 series was released in September 2009 and you're adding support for it. You don't have HD4770 to test on?

Is even something supported on HD4770?
