on sapphire site has this ... "450Watt or greater power supply with 30Amps on 12 volt with 2x4 power connector recommanded." (http://www1.sapphiretech.com/us/products/products_overview.php?gpid=227)

now i dont know ... if this is enought ...
    http://www.upnito.sk/imggal.php?viewImage=20828f7eb5566d86dc41b1e96081593d

but i read some forums ... and there was the this PSU .. should be enought for this GPU in AGP version ... so i dont know ...

    iam plug like this ...
http://www.upnito.sk/imggal.php?viewImage=01b4d0944ba9dbbe880381a22ef4e6f6 ... its 6pin for PCIe + 2 pin ... for make 8pin connector (i think it should be enought)

I think, you have enough power on your PSU.
    You can calculate it here:
    http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp
    But read the Attention exactly:
The recommended total Power Supply Wattage gives you a general idea on what to look for BUT it is NOT a crucial factor in power supply selection! Total Amperage Available on the +12V Rail(s) is the most important, followed by the +5V amperage and then the +3.3V amperage.

Edit: I can´t open your upnito link in my firefox, comes always an error.

Via chipsets are less then stellar, were never really stable at 8x AGP. I think you mentioned that the board would not let you select 4x AGP although it should.

if this is what you mean ... xAGP 3 MODE .................. 8X ... this i cant change (in BIOS) ... and i think ... a never try to set 4X .... maybe .... i dont realy know. But but now when i check in rivatuner ... there i can set 4X (AGP Transfer rate), but i dont try it

My problem with VIA Chipset was that any 3D Aplication would freeze / BSOD after few seconds of running.
From what I see, you can run the Aplications quite a long time, so I conclude that the problem will not be the BIOS.
If I had any part of my system runing more than 80 degrees Celcius I would be very concern about that.
May be your problem has to do with Temp´s. Take a look to it. Maintain your case closed all the time, otherwise the cooling system provided by the case is not working.

ok man ... sry ... i was thinking it was for me :) ... iam realy sorry

and this is why this thread is so "long" ... i am person ... who had this card about year ... maybe year and half ... i tried ... so many drivers and tests ... and ... games ... and settings almost everything ... and realy dont know how to fix it ... so i post every think ... that can be helpfull ... solve this issue. I post tests ... BIOS setting ... temps ... and i specify it because someone can not open links that i post (pics for example). And if i do something ... or set something else ... or follow the idea from threat ... i need to fast respond to user how it goes (cause i realy try almost everything, and if my respond can be helpfull ... for someone who post it ... and know how to fix it ... i realy need to say it to him/her as fast as it can be done) ... sometimes is this post short ... cause is nothing to say ... just "no help man" ... but sometimes i need to write long post (like when i check the temps and run furmark).

    That's cool mate...:)

I'm just trying to help you really - if people see you posting 7 or 8 or 9 times one after the other, they will be less inclined to read your posts..

You can always give your thread a bump...

Have you tried posting in the ATI tray Tools section?
    http://forums.guru3d.com/forumdisplay.php?f=53

Ray (the ATT dev) should be able to give you some good advice.....
