true, and unless the GTX380 can run crysis at 60fps it wont be futureproof either.
i can run every other game at 60fps right now already.

    Forget about GTX 380....

One GPU to rule them all, One GPU to find them,
One GPU to bring them all and in the darkness bind them all

Crysis is in the past though, and if any of the DX11 cards can run Crysis2 at 60fps, and it looks better than the original, then Crysis will cease to be used in benchmarks.

seth_amok, you do know Larrabee has been cancelled?

Yeah, the first Crysis game still has the best visuals i've ever saw in a game, but i meant past as in, the past.
Wasn't so keen on Warhead though.

Crysis2 will no doubt look much better, and run better too.

seth_amok, sarcasm isn't immediately obvious in text lol.

    what? no DX 11 bench

weird an possibly fake, why there's no DX11 bench, i see the DX10 bench only !
it's hardly convincing, DX11 bench already out for quiet some time, but no DX11 in that bench? feels like DX10 card only SLi together to get same spec as fermi wannabe spec... but still, its DX10 cards

There is a DX10 card rebranded as 300 series. The geforce 310, former G 210.

Crysis looks so good because its engine (cryengine 2) is PC only. Crysis 2 is based on cryengine 3 which is multi platform so it probably won't be as good looking as the first game. After all a PS3 has only a geforce 7900 in it. You get the point? I MAY be wrong though.

Nvidia have never officially confirmed the 300 series will be the Fermi cards, i see GF100 used alot more.

its CryEngine3, and i'm sure Crysis2 will look better, Crytek know what they are doing, and DX11 support wont do any harm.

Sorry, fixed the engine names. I would like to see a comparison between cryengine2 and 3 in DX10 mode when crysis 2 is released. Then we can be sure.

Sorry to post the disappointment for any ATI fan, but those are pretty darn accurate.

How much do you reckon the cards will retail for?

Can't say for sure. All I know is the official Nvidia briefing which didn't include much of anything I can say.

    Source?

Sorry to be an ass about it but while I'll certainly admit that nothing is impossible I'll chalk down a performance increase of 100% of the last generations top-of-the-line single GPU, or 40% over last generations top-of-the-line dual GPU, card as implausible at best until we see some hard data.

Especially in the light of running non-final revisions of the hardware on beta drivers.
