I just installed my Forte today on win 7 64x and latest web driver. I can't find exactly how the rear headphone jack should function. My setup consists of logitech z2300 2.1, regular cheapie mic, sony headphones for night time and 7.1 receiver on the optical output. So when I chose "headphones" in the speaker tab, the sound only goes to headphones considering I choose "mute speakers" in the headphone tab. Now if I choose 2.1 in the speaker tab, I would expect the sound to come out only from the 2.1 and not the headphones. In my case it comes through both. I have the 2.1 plugged into the green input in the dongle, headphones in the amplified jack in the rear, mic into dongle. Anyone know how I can just toggle between 2.1 and amped headphones? Starting to wonder that it's a limitation of some sort on this card.

    I believe it is a limitation :(

I tried and made threads here about it but no one had a solution.

You just gotta unplug your headphones. That's what I do with my Forte.
