FREE 5870!!! Lan party on dec. 19th!!

Free 5870!!!

Yeah... So I've decided to give away another gfx card in december right before christmas.. (a radeon 5870) The only thing is.. I would love to do a lan with you guys so I'm running cs:source on my own server.. I know it's old, but people have it. Basically the only friends that can join are guru3d members.. So if you are not a part of guru3d you will be kicked.. sorry.. It's a competition.. The player with the highest score after running the standard cs:source maps wins the card. There will be teams, but will change every round to make sure everything is even.. I will be playing but will be used as a decoy cheers everyone!! Cant wait! If anything it will be fun!! Make sure to list what time you will be available.. country.. meaning uk/usa. or any other time zone. Cant wait!!
Honestly.. I would use some of the newer titles like mw2 or lfd2 but not everyone has them and there not cheap right now..Plus... I have a great internet host.. I should have room for a bunch of players.. Just put your steam id or name down so I'll know. Love you guys and this forum!! cheers again!!

I detest CS, haven't played the game in years and would get owned continuously. The idea is for Bodar to play decoy, not me hehe.

cool! This is exciting! I know it's an old game.. We all used to either own or owned at that game at one point I'm sure.. counting on everyone being kinda rusty.. I'll get all the names by dec. 17th.. once they are all in, you guys will get a password. There will be different time zones as well, so everyone will have a chance to play each map listed. Cant wait you guys! Looking forward to being the decoy on whatever team sends me out first. lol!

So what exactly is meant by "decoy"?

I used to play CS 1.6 on a rather professional level back in the day, but I've never heard that term used, except when one team makes noise at one plant site and plants at the other.
And that's as vital a role as any other, so I doubt that's what you mean? :\

 

Decoy means I will be the one sent out in the field first to hopefully get killed.. Basically means whatever team I'm on, I'll be a distraction so that while I get killed you guys can get someone else. Kinda like a puppet. I'm switching teams every map though.. So.. I'm that annoying guy that does'nt follow orders and rushes everytime
