same thing swapping cards wats the spp ?? edit: stepped up the SPP from 1.30v to 1.35v wat same thing how high shud i go?
check you vga power pci ex conector, unplug them and plug them back, also remove your cards and use a dust remover (air compresed, i dont know the name) and clean your pci ex slots and try again.
I run the SPP @ 1.4, NF200 @ 1.4 as well. Also what is the PCI-E @? mine was set @ 120 when I first installed my board and I had to set it back to 100.
hey YUKESS i tried that.thanks..same thing.. someone said try a different monitor as well with a different refresh rate.. driversweeper.. wat exactly to do with it? to be honest. i tried all different kinda of drivers.. now i`m installing win7 ultimate 64bit see if i get any luck i`ll also try those SPP and NF200 voltage changes.
Download driver sweeper, uninstall drivers normally, boot into safe mode and run driver sweeper, then select nvidia graphics and then analyze, then clean, then reboot as normal and install new drivers..... Win7 will clear all your old driver stuff too so hopefully it`ll work for you....... If you`ve tried lots of drivers and not uninstalled them properly before trying new ones, you can create conflicts as some pieces of the new drivers won`t get installed thus creating on screen defects..........
Some people are having a big problem with the last set of NV drivers and NF200 chipsets. Maybe try the newest beta drivers on this site.
Not only clean the slots, but also the "teeth" on the card. I have read this can be done with an eraser. Havn't tried it, I always use alcohol. Try replacing the VGA cable, if you can. Newer monitors have DVI and VGA ports, and you can switch the cable over. I notice you are also using a DVI-VGA adapter. I was getting artifacts similar to yours using an old VGA monitor and an adapter. After buying a new LCD with DVI, the problem disappeared.
ok guys thanks so much for the replies.. heres the update: tried a 19" AOC at work res 1280x1024 @ 75hz i get VERY little fuzziness.. at 60hz i get it like normal.. the cards where cleaned, replaced, reseated, everything so far the progress is that i can play games really good.. but in windows it kills my eyes! i waz really thinking that if i get an LCD with DVI the problem might stop..so i`m goin to try that this evening.. thanks again guys
works!!! it works!!!! thank u guys soooooooo much i learn to many things about SLi ( first time doing it ) tryin to fix the problem.. i even read on a forum that someone got an email from nvidia helpdesk that stated if you use the tri sli connection for 2 cards ( gtx models ) its actually better than the normal 2 way sli bridge.. but theres the solution to my problem.. i borrowed a LCD that accepted DVI in and thats all once i got rid of the converter....theres NO problemo thanks again guys!
a converter? Seriously? In my job as an electrician, I have found that 9 out of 10 problems are caused by the simplest of things. "9 times out of 10, it's always something simple." huh...
llol yeh bro, the system blazing !!!! i almost return the cards and get a new board to go xfire.. those 2 GTX260s working overtime!!! galaxy calls it GTX 260+ they are really nice cards... idle at 35 - 37c with the fans on stock speeds.
