Since you insist on a comment: way too many cables. For this kind of setup I'd get some wireless devices.

well, uh. i like your video card and i have the same mouse as you. I'd consider more wireless gear and a decorator but thats me, to each their own.

I'm so jealous of that guy who lives in Spain with the view.

pjokerxp: for one, i wouldn't do a wireless keyboard. If you ask me, there's far too much going on with keyboards to rely on a wireless signal, especially if you're a gamer. Yes, i know that it'd probably still work great.... i just prefer having only ONE device with batteries.

As for wireless "gaming" equipment.... that's a term i wish would just freakin die. The only thing i feel that makes a peripheral a "Gaming" peripheral is if you feel comfortable using it, and can use it well. irritates the hell out of me...... "Gaming" mouse, "Gaming" keyboard, "Gaming" mousemat, "Gaming" monitor (although i don't think the monitor industry uses that one much, if at all... think that's more just the gamer public), hell i think there's even "Gaming" speakers and crap. It's an overused term, more than likely brought about in part due to that idiot Jonathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel.

One mouse you should have a look at, which i just got nearly two weeks ago, is the new Logitech Performance Mouse MX. freakin love this thing. Used to use the MX Revolution... which i liked quite a lot.... but wasn't too fond of the idea of the hyperscrolling being application-controlled, and would sometimes switch to click-by-click if another window took priority over the one you were looking at. This one replaced the quick search button with one to engage or disengage hyperscrolling. Also kinda nice where they put the application switching button... having it directly under the thumb, where the thumb typically rests aside the mouse. Instead of the thumb scroll thing the Revolution had, where it used Windows Flip3D, this one lays out every window that's open in a way so that every window/application is visible. Also can bind a button to switch between two DPI settings. I tried that, but i don't see much of a point to the idea. low DPI requiring more movement from the mouse to aim is nice for accuracy.... but it sucks to not only have to click a button for aiming down the sights, but also to change the DPI setting.

I still gotta take pictures of it or something.

Nice and tidy, but that's not a very efficient use of the surround speakers... :p

I know! Desk space is limited, I would do better with a better quality 2.1 system.

    Indeed.

I realised a while ago that my 5.1 was totally pointless, they were not spread out in the slightest, and the only thing that used it was games since every movie/tv show I watch will be stereo.

What you could do is bring the rear speakers to the front corners of your desk, might allow a bit more of a spread.

Tried that and the right hand one keeps going flying when I play CSS! I think I need to put a good quality 2.1 system on my 'wish' list!

This photo's old but it's still like this now and I'm too lazy to get a photo w/ new dashboard.
