AGP or PCI-express?

    Why would you want to spend money upgrading an AGP system? It looks like you already have a PCIE system by your specs.

    Depends on whether your motherboard is AGP or PCI-e

    As your CPU is an X2 and you have DDR2 ram, I'm assuming you have an nF4 board - so you'll need to get a PCI-e card.

    I would say go with a 4770 if you can. Much faster card and should be around the same price.

    I second that! If the OP has a PCIe video already, why go backwards? PCIe is the current standard and is faster than AGP

    Do you even have a AGP slot?, there were very few dual PCIe-AGP motherboards, I have one...the ASROCK Dual SATA and is getting pretty old, there is no way I would do AGP over the PCIe.

    YES! i do have an agp slot! pci-e remains my choice. you convinced me!

    You can run both, I have done it, I removed the AGP and gave it to my nephew. I once ran PCI-AGP-PCIe, no real advantage to it for me I was playing around, the AGP and PCIe were ATI and the PCI was an Intel, it worked fine though.

    pcie cards are much cheapers in addition.
