A Japanese website posted two photo's of the upcoming DirectX 11 class Sapphire HD 5870 and 5850. The cards look a lot like the Previous photo's as seen on the web over the past week or so. Both cards... More...
I hope the stock cooling solution isn't piss poor this time. Thats the only reason I havent gone and got a 48xx series card.
Well, IIRC, the 4850 was not originally a two slot cooler, so it looks like ATI really are trying this time.
The cooler on my XFX 4890 is quite good. It's a dual slot cooler and reasnobaly quiet. Once the second revision of 58xx series cards are released I expect they will have fairly decent coolers as well.
TBH I don't care that much about the looks of card, I just care, if it's cool(temperature wise) and silent Though those Sapphire stickies are pretty damn ugly, guess they're trying... ...to win in an ugliness competition Also, givez meh one HD5850 nauuu!!!
Cause the coolers are made made by the same company lol ^_^ well it would seem logical to assume that anyways.
I don't care how they look. I care how they cool. And it better be better than the 48xx cooler, although it doesn't look it.
Has anyone decided to review eVGA GTX285 classified? Seeing no-one checked the stock cooler along quad-sli from that card. Well seeing how 58xx runs at 5xC at 19x max watts. Where idle they run at 3xc at open air by drawing idle 2x watts. I would say it is better stock cooler imo.
wow.. talk about a short sneakpeak to release date.. seems like it was last week when these cards starting getting back into the news
They're just dual slot coolers. Although they've adopted the basic style of Nvidia coolers. It's a big big step though from the old hd 2900 xtx cooler design. Great design, but HUGE cooler!
sapphire stickers are terrible....if i even get a 58xx card it'll probably be from XFX, their stickers look great if those pics are genuine, the new radeons must be as long as the current GT200 cards
