I'm looking to buy a new video card and I came across these two cards. I cant decide which to get. The GTX 275 is faster and has more cores, but the GTX 260 has much more memory and I cant decide if that would pay off in the long run.

Does anyone have any experience with these cards and can offer their advice? thanks in advance.

I play at 1600x1200. So I guess its not that high of a resolution.

If you game @ beyond HD, 260 is worth, else 275.

896mb is more than enough even up to 1920 resolutions. Once you go higher with filtering and stuff, then maybe the extra ram will help. But then, the 260 or 275 would be struggling to give you a good framerate at that high of a resolution so I don't think its worth it (1792mb does sound pretty cool though lol).

It does give a good increase over 896MB if he games @ 2560X1600 but he should rather look for sli for those resolutions...
