    I think 6GB of DDR3 along with a nice i7 920 will do me just fine.

    In fact, it will probably be more than enough.

    8GB is tempting though :)

    With current memory offerings, 6GB or 12GB is best for Bloomfield+X58 boards.

    Was one stick of RAM removed for the 4GB tests? If so the remaining memory would have been running in single channel mode, or was a 2x2GB kit used?

    i think they used 2x2gb vs 2x4gb.. well they did with 2gb vs 4gb last time.


    I need moar ram lol, think i'll go with 2x2 + 2gb so 6gb in total :D
