190.38 WHQL available

Is power management broken with these drivers and the 275s? I noticed that after installing this, my clocks would keep jumping up and down between 400mhz and 630mhz. I then disabled windows 7's wallpaper change effect (mine changes every 10secs), and the clocks stabilized back to 300mhz.

Once I moved my mouse or did any sort of simple activity, the card would jump back to 3d clocks again T_T

 

it doesn't matter, the refresh rate doesn't bork anything except a few crappy EA games which have crappy engines anyway.

EA should be made to fix their games.

 

Had these installed since release but only got round to trying with Fallout 3 today. As soon as I shot anything it would freeze for a split second.

Anyway, back to 186.18s and smooth as silk again.

This is first nVidia driver for a long time which I've actually uninstalled and gone back to a previous version.

I'm not sure about the performance of these drivers but I'm on win7 x64 final RTM version and the mouse lag seems much lower with these drivers compared to any previous nvidia drivers I've used in a long time.

I'm using a logitech g9 2800dpi laser mouse and a Samsung 245bw TN panel (7.5ms input lag) so I can easily tell when input lag is low or higher.

The mouse just overall feels much more responsive with these.

 

Drivers have been good for me. Gameplay's really good in games I've played so far. keepers for sure.

 

I just re-installed the 186.18 and my GPU temp is back to normal (40). So I can confirm a 6 degree drop in temps with the 186.18 ...and I am glad I did!!! My card is kinda' weak assed as is (XFX 260) So I don't think higher temps are good for the life of the card.

 

The only game I got weird glitches is GTA 4. I thought it was my OC but I tried GTA 4 on everything stock and it's still glitchy. Gonna try 186.18 carefully I guess.... 193.40 are not good tho.

 

Was getting crashes in Anno 1404 with these. Back to 186.18.

 

Just got gtx295 and noticed power managment is broken on gpu2. It doesnt power down at all, for example currently im having gpu1 at 310/100/602 and gpu2 at 576/1008/1242. Same issue with 190.40. I guess this is drivers issue and not graphic card?

well, downgraded back to 185.85. These drivers gave me horrible stuttering in fallout 3 and benching SF4 cut my framerate by like 30+. That, plus the power management issues.

Do nvidia even test these drivers out properly before releasing them to the public?

 

The only thing I salvaged from these drivers was the Arma 2 SLi profile which I've managed to copy back into nvapps after reinstalling the 186.18s and it's showing in the profile settings ok.

 

Strange mini stuttering in Call of Juarez Bound in Blood, FRAPS shows constant 60fps with vsync on but stuttering is clearly visible.
On 186.18 everything is just fine so.... roll back

 

:3eyes: This game worked perfecty on my card (that''s far worse than your's :wanker: ). On VISTA x64SP1 with these drivers. :3eyes:

 

This is probably SLI related problem with this drivers.
186.18 are much better. Without vsync constant 220fps
190.xx are totally f#@$!d up
