Well I'm having a load of problems trying to get an LGA1366 bracket so I'm thinking of just using the 775 one ... Anyone tried... ? They seem to be the same size

The LGA775 bracket will not work. The LGA1366 cooler mounting hole dimension is larger.

It will work for him because the P6T has holes for both mounts.

I would rather use the 1366 brackets, though. You will get proper tension and pressure on the springs/CPU for good cooling if you do.

Are you sure? I see only one set of HS mounting holes in this image of the board.

That'd be a good idea but there seems to be a slight issue, he lives in Egypt - which may make it more difficult to get that kit? Assuming he hasn't already looked around.

Good point, totally didn't notice Egypt as his location. The link still provides all the info and model number for the kit, all he needs is an Egypt-based dealer for it. This one should work, plus it says they ship to Egypt.

It's kind of hard to get it to ship to Egypt. I ordered from some UK based website and I got an email TWO WEEKS LATER telling me something about AVS something something order failed x_x

That must be a new revision... I just built a machine for a friend who gave me the parts and his P6T Deluxe had both mounting holes.

    Interesting...

That is a new revision. I have the old one.

Edit; Ok I'm unsure about that now

Edit 2: Are you guys sure the LGA775 bracket won't fit ? :S It seems perfectly big enough. It's this one: The cross shaped thing

Have you got an old Core2 heatsink? Try to put it in the holes. The pins on the HSF should also fit the holes of an 80mm fan.

Use an 80mm fan as a stencil. :\
