    It only support out?

When I bought the graphic card I also recived a documentation like everyone else, and it says here that this graphics card should support Video In / Video Out and other.

What ports does your specific video card have?

    Does it look like this:

If it supports VIVO you will have to have a port that looks like the middle one on that picture. If it just has regular monitor connectors then it's not VIVO.

Did the card/package come with something that looks like this:

If so, you should be all set... I believe the drivers provide the vivo interface/software, but tbh I couldn't find this out specifically.

Edit: What specific video card brand and model do you have?

Mine has 3 cables out of 1. Is that ok?

Which cable is a Video In and what software do I need to view the video from the camera (that is what I'm using as a Video In)?

Which specific card do you have? I'm still trying to find out about the software you'll need... I haven't done vivo in 10 years lol

I can see why you are asking - I couldn't find an answer...

Hopefully someone with more recent experience with VIVO on the 200 series cards will reply. I've run out of time trying to find it.

From what I can tell, the GTX260 does not support VIVO functions.....it simply supplies video outputs. Every GTX260 I've found, in the features list either says "VIVO: Not supported", "VIVO: N/A" or "VIVO: No". Most people don't buy a high-end card for HTPC, so VIVO isn't an important feature to include for them. 7900GT is the last card I could find listed as supporting VIVO from nVidia. ATI removed the VIVO functions from their graphics cards and added them to the "all-in-wonder" cards, which have since been discontinued.....not sure if nVidia is still supporting that feature at all these days.

As far as I'm aware no Nvidia card has had VIVO for a few years now. I think the last ones were the 7 series.

The only way to know whether or not your card supports VIVO is to count the number of pins on the S-video socket at the back of your video card. If there are nine pins, then your card has VIVO capability. Less means no VIVO.

Thank you for your replies. You guys were very helpful.

One more question. I recived a documentation in the graphics card box, and the instructions are for Nvidia Geforce 7800. Is this normal? Why don't the update the documentation?

Probably the brand maker who's really laid back on updating manuals, or someone just put the wrong one in. I guess it happens.

Hi all, sorry to bump this old thread.

I still have this very old 7800GT w/ VIVO. I've tried putting it together with a GTX295 but the current official Win7 x64 driver prompted some mismatch error asking me to reinstall but still fail. The system can only recognize if I install only one of the cards on my Intel X58 x3 pci-e slots. But still with only 7800GT, there's no VIVO and I can't find any x64 driver for this.

Is it not possible mixing 7 & 200 series? I have another 8 series as physx. But I would really love to have VIVO like in the old days on the new system. Because my mobo has only x1 pci slot currently for X-FI, my pci TV card got no where to go.

Hope anyone can advise, very sorry I'm a bit outdated. Thank you...
