    Thank you very much!

Although the cpu is still at 100% i now have the option to activate ATI stream and in fact compression times are lower:)

    Much appreciated;)

Following the instructions to register "atimpenc.dll", the Espresso does allow using ATI Stream and the encoding is faster then just using CPU.

    Thanks for that.

Based on how this works we currently don't have any gauge to let us know when UVD/UVD2 is working. Hopefully we will see that in the future.

I get the "Cyberlink Media Espresso" has stopped working on Vista x64 as soon as I start converting a video.

its working perfectly for me. i just downloaded the hotfix and the official tryout from cyberlink.
gpu-z is showing about 30% to 35% usage on one of the gpu's, so stream looks to be working.
but its not working for what i want it to do. i want to encode my bought dvd's to files using x264, no matter really what container format. The problem is that it doesnt make a single file from the movie, but one file for each ifo.

You might want to give Power Director a try for combining files, and since it also supports ATI Stream you will get the benefit of faster encoding

    Just to give my exp:

    I tried today with 9.5 + hotfix.

    Encoded an AVCHD H264 @ 17Mbps 1920x1080 25p (29mins lenght)
    to
    AVCHD 1440x1080 25p

    in 56 seconds.

CPU Usage around 16% (core i7)
Don't know about GPU usage, but I'm pretty sure it was working, because the screen flickers a little bit when starting conversion.

    I'm impressed.

Hope to see this on Adobe CS4 :D

I don't have the option to activate ATI stream in espresso
Avivo video converter is available though...

Also installed the hotfix for cat 9.5.
    Any ideas ?

triet exactly that, even rolled back the driver to catalyst 9.5.
Also tried windows xp. Still nothing. I'm getting so frustrated.

Something is up on your end. Try registry mechanic to clean out all traces of the driver after you un-install it. It does work in both Win7 and XP
