Use Guru3D Driver Sweeper. I've meesed up Cat 9.5 installation because i forgot that my CPU was too overclocked while testing (stupid me) and it BSOD'ed during install. After that i was constantly getting MOM script errors.

Uninstalled all ATI software, rebooted in safeMode, run Guru3D Driver Sweeper twice to clean even the last remainings of Cat suite. Rebooted and installed Cat 9.5.
No more problems and it's still working. :)
But in general i try to avoid that because with installs on top of old ones work just fine (unless you screw up something by yourself like i did hehe).

Hey guys & girls, Anybody know when and if the 9.5 AGP hotfix will be available?
    Thanks,

PS Just to add to the debate, I used to use add/remove to uninstall ATI software but recently would just do an install over the top. However, the 9.5 beta's screwed that up and when I went back to the 9.4 hotfix (I know I shouldn't have tried the WIN 7 beta's:3eyes:) I had lost the CCC.
So had to do a proper clean and sweep before reinstalling.

I guess I'm just saying use what works for you, if a noob asks recommend the safe option but for others like us, do what you're confortable with...until you screw it up by playing around or experimenting too much:stewpid:
    Cheers

i'm playing quake wars, it's opengl and cpu-bound; running it at lowest possible setting (hardcore) with 120 fps average, 90 fps min and 200 fps max on my system. i've capped the renderer (com_maxfps 60) at 62.5 fps. with a.i. enabled game renders between 57 and 63 fps. with a.i. off, between 62 and 63 fps. with cap removed, indeed, a.i. boosts with 5 fps the average and max framerates.

Uninstall CIM choose remove all ati software, reboot then try reinstall?

This is what happened when I was using vista and run any driver cleaning program. That's why I always advise people not to use them with vista. They do more harm than good.

Wow,guys!See why I stressed that people shouldn't neglect the uninstall process? It's a safe guard against user error, for one thing.

@RejZoR now was that so painful?:bang:

Haven't tested any games yet, but WOW, for the first time ever, the 9.5 drivers install perfectly without any problems. CCC loaded up just fine also :)
Thanks for the Vista 32bit Drivers

Here, I uploaded them for you to save you the trouble or if you can't figure it out. http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=b674bafad2050dbc07258ee67c679e4ae04e75f6e8ebb871

Does your HIS card have the older 9515id like my Powercolor card?

These are instructions I had for the 9.1's but, they will work with any drivers.

For 3850 agp to make them work :
must have hidden files shown in windows folders

    go to C:\ATI\support\9-1_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_74230\Driver\Driver\

    CX_74230.INI
    Find ,"0x9505:0x30001002,"

    change to
    ,0x9505:0x30001002,0x9515:0x00281787,

    INSTALL.INI
    Find ,"0x9505:0x30001002,"

    change to
    ,0x9505:0x25421002,0x9515:0x00281787,

    Driver.Dat
    Find ,",9505,"

    change to
    ,9505,9515,

    go to C:\ATI\support\9-1_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_74230\Driver\Driver\XP_INF

    CX_74230.inf
find "ATI Radeon HD 3850" and add...

    "ATI Radeon HD 3850 AGP" = ati2mtag_RV630, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9515&SUBSYS_00281787

    Run C:\ATI\SUPPORT\9-1_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_74230\Driver\Setup.exe

AGP 9.5 hotfix, its on AMD's site for a few days now, in an indirect way.

    http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/FanStopspinning.aspx

Choose the 9.4 x64 Vista, it actually links to 9.5 x64 AGP hotfix.

    9-5_agp-hotfix_vista64_dd_ccc.exe
