well i built it i connected everything and i installed latest soundmax drivers and intel X58 driver. i have a DAV-DZ260 hom entertainment/surround system when i had my recent system Gigabyte mobo a q9450 and so on, sound was fine when connected to the Sony system, using a coaxial cable. I connect it to the soundcard and no sound at all no matter how i try the soundmax CP, in Bios i have it enabled on the other hand it says in the handbook, that the system requires at minimum a 600W PSu i have dual psu´s one 650W+550W and the larger is for main system gfx and the second for pheripals. can it e i haven´t enough juice to run the whole shabang with a 4890 connected as well? also it states recommeded for Xfire is a 1000W psu seems the I7 system is power hungry wel any help is appreciated
not sure how da PSU can be related to ur problem. But i can tell u its not. whats the model of ur Sony System?
this is the name DAV-DZ260 also i have 3gb corsair dominator 1600mhz gut it shows only 2gb? i have 2 orange slots three blac slots how do i get trichannel to work?
Assuming we're talking about Vista, make sure the Soundmax device is set as the default in the Sound control panel.
i have 2 soundmax one speakers and one digital output but no matter which i choose i get no sound. also how do i connect my memory to get tri channel shall tehy be all in the orange sockets or one blac one orange and third black? no worries i got the sound now the dimnm´s how do i place them to get them working as three or at least vista showing 3gb
well i checked the memorys just now all are in teh prange slots still 2gb according to bios and windows vista is it known issue that corsair and ASUS isn´t a match? i have the P6T deluxe and 3gb tri channel corsair dominator 1600mhz but why will it show 2gb?
Pekka I have a similar setup with the three sticks in the three orange slots and the X.M.P profile selected and its ok. I responded to another post about a board only seeing 2 gigs and it turned out to be 1 bent pin on the cpu socket. Try taking the cpu out and checking that all the pins are straight and reseating. Good luck
woudl a cpu work if any pins were bent? if so i´d better get me a new cpu than start bending back pins
The pins are in the motherboard socket and not on the CPU. Strange problem, try resetting the CMOS. Also make sure you've got the latest BIOS update.
latest bios..i am pretty sure i don´t have but then again i don´t know what bios is the latest and whcih i have
