that looks great! as good as CryEngine 2 TBH.

it isn't Serious Sam. Croteam are working on a currently un-named FPS that has nothing to do with serious sam. however they are also working on Serious Sam 3. only the 1st and 3rd sceens are from Serious Sam 3

Right, so I'll stand by my original question.

EDIT: Although reading the print at the top of the original link "Although we have translated the texts below the pictures, do not take any of it as correct. The reason being that it seems the interviewer assumed which pictures represent what, which may or may not be correct." it seems it's anyones guess! lol.

So forget I asked at all! :)

It looks a bit strange to my eyes. I'm not quite sure why.

What looks strange? there's no images in the entire thread (First post link is 404'd due to it's age I'd guess.) and the images in the link I posted is from Serious Sam 2 (2006 or so if I remember correctly, good for a mindless shooter but also not as "serious" as say Painkiller or the older Will Rock but still a fun game if you can take all the jokes and humor, first game - both episodes - had those big headed fans for example and the endboss was as big as a pyramid, funny actually as the last boss in the second game is a form of pyramid.)

The first serious sam was incredibly fun, i used to have lan partys were we plan to play CS and serious sam but we end up dumping cs for SS's awesome coop mode and huge bosses!

Quite a few games take that long (or even longer) to be developed. :D

Lol, obviously I looked at the engine's progress from another site. I couldn't even get into the link. I just did a Google search. Isn't this the Serious Engine 2? If so, the graphics look a bit weird.

Ah you're right, my mistake, might be just for a engine demonstration but they are also working on a few other titles which'll use their new engine, similar to the castle level demonstration for Cry Engine 3. :)

I wrotte off SS3 as vaporware long time ago, the developers haven't mentioned anything on their site in 2 years nor made any posts in the forum. And since SS 2 didn't sell well at all I expected them to go under (a decent sequel that most people ignored for some reason after trying the demo). So this thread made me check croteam.com and behold, it turns out they made a news update on 11th May 09, apperantly they are working on SS3 and another game (that military game from the screens has been put on hold/most likely canned.) Great news about SS3 (I really could care less about another "realistic" military shooter).

One of the rare PC co-op games and a good one at that. Looking forward to it.
