Windows 7 Release Candidate: Download instructions and download links: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/download.aspx When you follow the instructions, you will get a new key which is more than likely responsible for the extended trial period until June 1, 2010. Have fun. Update: This is the version string for the English 64-Bit version: 7100.0.090421-1700_x64fre_client_en-us_retail_ultimate-grc1culxfrer_en_dvd.iso Download speed is pretty good and between 700 and 800 KB/s.
Do you reckon i will be able to do an upgrade when i buy w7 when it is released or will i have to do a clean install again. The RC seems to require a clean install, will the retail copy be the same?
This is the same exact build that's been available via torrents btw. So if you already have it you don't need to re-download it. It states that you can upgrade from Vista but must do a clean install from any previous versions of 7 or XP. And yes, the retail copy will be the same.
Stupid Punkbuster not supporting it (BF2), that's the one thing stopping me from changing over to 7. Got my brother and dad installing this on their old (Althon 64 and P4) PCs, so I'll see how well it works out.
can't seem to find the word RC build on my version..7100 yes, but no RC so playing safe.. good time to download.. very quick this morning, it'll be madness later:nerd:
DAMN....^^ My current d/l speed.... I've only tried the first versions that came out...I kept having device I/O errors and unable to find drivers etc etc. I gave up in the end.
can anyone give a download link where i can download the file with IDM cause everytime i go to that link to download mozila download manager starts to download the file and is really a crappy downloader.... i don't want to use torrents until unless i really really have to... i want this official one... p.s after i am done downloading the file i have to burn it as an ISO file?? sorry for the stupid question..
Use the one that pops up when you go through the Microsoft link, it won't be the built-in downloader and it can resume just fine. Try using IE to start up the download as well. As for the iso, I think you can just mount it if you are upgrading from Vista, but imo it's always best to have these things on a physical (boot) disk.
