Check your HDD is not running in PIO mode. Go to device manager and uninstall the IDE drivers and reboot. Secondly, open task manager while doing nothing. Are you getting any cpu usage? Next try scrolling with IE and firefox and tell me which process is getting high cpu. To the guy above, if you have nothing to say do not post.
,,, 1) nope not cpu usage 2)tryed it i get 4% cpu usage my Hdd mode DMA5 and this problem happen in all my computers in home..
Spec's of your other computers? Stuttering as in freezeing? how about when you move a open window box does that lag?
^Yea, mby your lcd's are 25ms response time... Btw, I had that also with my old work pc, was a pentium 4 @2.4 and had a sucky ati 9600pro(wich caused that behaviour).
The fact that it's happening on all your systems leads me to believe it is either some software (anti-virus, firewall?) that you have running on all of the systems, some problem with your internet service provider or an issue with your router. I've never known a problem that specific happen on multiple systems without it being one of the above. Try disabling your anti-virus, firewall and go to a trusted website and see if the problem goes away. If that doesn't make any difference, connect directly to the cable modem and do the same. If that doesn't help, call your isp and see if they know anything. Chances are if it's a common problem, they will be able to help you fix it.
thanks for comment i have amd athlon 4200 + 1gB ram + XP 32bit all pcs run NOD32 + Firewall of windows i connected directly still same problem i have just nod32+Fw in the background nothing else i think its my modem? i changed 2 or 3 settings maybe rest to modem will help? in old version of firefox the problem doesnt happen 2/0/0/14..
The bolded stuff makes me think you have smooth scrolling turned off.Try internet options from Windows control panel.Under the advanced tab, you'll find a check list-make sure smooth scrolling is ticked. Another thing to check is your mouse options.I use Logitech Setpoint, and can set how many lines to move down under "scrolling size".Try three. That seems to be the point where choppyness goes away. BTW, you shouldn't be offering money for help around here. Some day you'll be helping us- and then we're even.
Update guys I INTSALLED FIREFOX 2.0.0.14 I dont have this problem anymore but i dont want to browse in this old firefox^^ this problem seems to be just in firefox 3 ! whats its can be guys?:S
One of the posters on this thread commented that 3.0.8 caused hanging and other problems. Switching back to version 3.0.4 helped. Or just stay at 2. They are about the same. http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-vie...cale=en-US&forumId=1&comments_parentId=319462
....... yup have tryed still same problem i have tryed 3.0.8 in another pc and its happend also.... strange? its not just my pc
Not sure what the issue is, i haven't seen it, but it is somewhat confirmed. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Scrolling_is_slow Does using one of these smooth scroll extensions help, or make it worse ? Yet Another Smooth Scrolling https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5846 SmoothWheel https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/357
Try -Disable Smooth Scrolling in Firefox -Disable Auto Scrolling in Firefox -Disable animations for Vista Windows ---Like Scroll Effect
