I have to disagree with you on that one.
If this was a case on whether copyright infringements are illegal or not, then yes, you are completely correct, and the judge should disqualify himself ( remove himself? disbarr? I have no idea for the legal term ) but this case is different.
Whether or not copyright infringment is legal or not is no longer discussed. It has been written into the law. This case was whether TPB commited copyright violations.

Again, its like an anti theft judge judging people accused of stealing.

you start to practice and learned sw development on legally purchased software? :)
and u never in your life installed any "nonlegal" sw?
u always park your car properly and stay under speed restrictions? always got your seat belt on? never use cell phone while driving? etc...
    i really doubt so
100% of all code writers/graphic designers/developers/engineers etc... was "build" on free/"stolen" sw :)
but now its whining time cause they (and their bosses) all want more money :)
no more greasy nerds with glasses :)

U just said that at least 51% of all Americans that voted in 2000/2004 are "middle man in crime" :)

    hehe "good old" music industry
i realy hope that they loose their jobs cause they are also "middle man in crime" :)
they are involved in machinery that make ppl stupid and make them have false idols and start using drugs/guns/prostitutes/etc... cause that is what the young ones usually see when they look at new music videos
U got like million "50 cent based" and million of "franz ferdinand based" "bands" and they all make huuuuge amounts of money :) even though "piracy" is here  for a long long time (since audio cassette tapes was invented)

so stop being consumer tards and think :)

p.s. and i didn't even mention fast food/cigarettes/alcohol/auto-moto industries :) where u actually pay for your own euthanasia (sooner or later of course :))

itunes? lol piracy at their best :puke2:
they call u a pirate if u rip someone's cd and make mp3's of it but when they do it (and asks for money of course) then its legal and "the only way"
cause they payed "the rights" to do it :3eyes:
    yeah right :bang:
i always wonder why all of that music industry usually attack "normal ppl/small players" but stay very cold against multi billion $ corporations?
they did not forbid mp3 so now they should just shut up and eat their own poo
even though they still make billions of $
not to mention hollywood and their "recycle production" of old movies with buffed cgi to "entertain" new generations of "no brain-no pain" ppl
    wake up man :)

u ever think why u loose your job? cause of crisis? or cause u were "good joe" and pay all your bills/taxes and that money (well most of it) ended up in pockets of those who holds the "strings" aka puppeteers?
in meantime u 2 (like many others unfortunately) become "cannon fodder" of modern slavery

    What?

I work(ed) in the automotive industry, I'm pretty sure the massive contraction in the market lost me my job. But you can blame it on me paying for stuff instead of just taking it if it helps you justify piracy...

Peter Sunde responded by putting the payment orders through a paper shredder.

“I’ve already shredded them. I don’t have the money so it’s not going to affect my personal finances,” he told the TT news agency.

The French took down mysongbook.com which basically killed Guitar Pro.

Was it the right thing to do?

If they have the right to stop me from tabbing their songs then I want the right to not have to listen to their music (referring to the labels, not the artists themselves) and thats exactly how it is.

    Killed by a back-catalogue lol.
