hi there's something that I want to ask,

    Is a CM extreme power 500w sufficient for a GTX260+ 65nm?

I was able to power up my quad setup (Q9650(@4Ghz) + 9800GTX+) with this PSU. Just not sure since GTX260+ requires 38A on 12V+ rail, and mine could only provide a combined of 30A on 12V1+ and 12V2+.

    If your 9800GTX+ is a 55nm one with your new GTX 260 55nm you'll have ~3A more.
If your 9800GTX+ is a 65nm one with your new GTX 260 55nm you'll have ~ same power consumption.
Bottom line I'd say that you're fine.

so in other words, the 9800GTX+ 65nm and GTX260+ 55nm have similar power consumption? (mine is 55nm)

What if I swapped the GTX260+ 55nm with 65nm how much more amp will I need?

9800GTX (all flavours) vs. GTX 260 (all flavours).
    Hope it helps. :)

LE: Just a note. My advice on long term is to change your PSU. It's an middle-range AcBel with 30A on 12V (damn, Corsair CX400 has 30A on 12V and Corsair VX450 33A on 12V). It's not a hurry but next on your investment plan put a new PSU.

I've got the same psu and an overclocked GTX 260, albeit with an old k8 processor. Suffice it to say, nothing's blown after a month of heavy load. I'm planning an upgrade in the near future just to be safe, though.

I wouldnt run it on that personally. I had a 9800gtx+ and my q6600 @ ~3ghz on a 530w psu. Yeah, it was raidmax, but, still when I switched over to a gtx 260 55nm sc... I had nothing but problems. Somehow it actually blew part of my motherboard, and the card. I had to get both replaced. If you want to risk it, go ahead, but, I wouldnt reccomend anything under 650w no matter what. Btw, if you havent already bought the gtx 260, go get a gtx 275... they are alot better.

Go to extreme.outervision.com and use their PSU calculator. It is very accurate.
