Win7 x64 here, I don't have 3D settings in the control panel and the "configure adaptive graphics" menu item doesnt work.

    :/

Got the ATI Overdrive tab back now. It was probably a registry conflict somewhere. Since Win7 x64 build 7077 came out, i did a clean install of that and got the ATI Overdrive tab. Ofc a clean install is not the best option but, it did it for me.

It actually works and does not just fail as soon as it moves the clock even slightly. It oc'ed my cards from 775/2250MHz to 830/2700MHz.

    Recommendations please...

I have a ATI HD3850 AGP 512MB card, but my driver set is the CCC 8.12 package.

I just upgraded my machine from an ATI 9250 and 512 MB system RAM to the above card and replaced my PC-133 RAM with Corsair DDR2 2x 1GB sticks (2G total), and a 500w PSU to drive all this.

So far, I can now play S.T.A.L.K.E.R., F.E.A.R. (haven't tried FEAR 2), Dead Space, and Freelancer, all on high graphics modes. I haven't seen any problems with the driver set I have installed.

Is there any compelling reasons I should try the 9.4 driver set?

You have a nice PSU. I think you should be fine with Fear 2.

Anyone got Crysis Warhead working crossfire with these drivers?

It's not my PSU that's the problem it's my GPU:bang:

No success even with these new 9-4_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu drivers that I downloaded for my Ati 3850 display card it still wont let me play fear 2.

I just get a black screen when launching the game an have to do a hard reset:puke2:

these ati cards are a joke when I get the money I am going NVIDIA all the way.:bang:

So far so good with these drivers, the last drivers (9.3) where giving me trouble with shadows in wow and I had to revert to 9.2 drivers, but these are running smooth so far. :)

This set fixes artifacting/texture corruption when AA is used with DX10 in Age of Conan.

Obviously you've problems other than just the GPU. F.E.A.R 2 runs smooth under ATI for me, with maxed settings.

Have W7, version 7077 X64, but after installing the correct ATI 9.4 drivers, I still get the microsoft 1.1 WDM drivers. If i start Catalyst Control Center, nothing happens. I can see in my processes that 2 catalyst processes have started, CCC.exe and MOMO.exe, but no way i get the Control Center visible on screen. Is this a bug, or is there something else the matter? In W7 7068 x64 with Catalyst 9.3 all worked okay.
Have just installed Catalyst 9.3 and that does work well. A problem in the install procedure for 9.4 with the newest 7077 build of Windows 7?

Yah, I can confirm this aswell, tested the game on a 7 day trial account with dx10 on - looks amazing, and not bad at all on my system pushing 45-60 fps ( compared to 60-220 in dx9 ).

Shame AoC is such a wierd game, had such high hopes for it, rushed to 80 and then nothing to do. And still 1 year later dx10 isn't live and all the class imbalance and lack of pvp areas is still there, amazed people actually play it still :)

I really want it to get better though since the graphics is just <3

OK Ok Burnout Paradise seems loads smoother with these drivers.. all settings high and AA set within CCC and it seems to reduce some of the jaggies (over clock profiles) Dead Space has that AA problem that is hard to fix, but no issues other wise, just plays really well.
I had probs with Burnout with older drivers..

Not playing anything else at the moment..

The new overdrive feature just kept on running for god knows how long till I pressed escape.

I played thru Fear2 and my 3850 agp runs it fine so, you shouldn't blame ati for your problem..
