Well i woke up this morning with a smell of burnt electrical equipment. It got stronger as i walked to my PC and sure enough it was coming from my PSU(The PC was not left on). My PC will not boot up but there is a light on the PSU (Hiper Type R 580W) and when i plug the kettle lead in there is an electrical noise and when i plug it out it makes a funny sound like its releasing the current (a wereing noise).

Can this be fixed do you think? If not i have been out the loop for quite a while and not sure what is good to buy, please bare in mind i only want to pay around £50 as i am skint at the moment and its only running a Socket 939 AMD 4000+ with a geforce 7800gtx so i dont need anything super duper.

    Many thanks in advance.
