Even if I put all the RAM in the blue channels, I still can't see anything on the screen so it doesn't really help me. Right now I have it hooked up to my monitor and not an HDTV so that is not the problem.

Oh and I already checked the MOBO definetely supports the RAM, that is not an issue.

Wiring - I have gone over all the connections a couple times. Everything is where it should be. The gtx 295 has both 6 pins hooked up and that little 2 pin trailer wire.

    HEY< READ THE BELOW <<<

Try it without that wire, and what did you plug the other end into? << HEY <<

    Good luck.

I have an idea for the OP, instead of using that little 2pin + 6 pin how about you try using the adapter that came with the 295 which uses 2x 6 Pins instead of the single 8 Pin. So you will be using 3x 6 Pin total (this is what I use).

It's a long shot but at least worth a try.

No problem, glad to help in some way.

Are you able to swap the new card out for an older one to narrow it down ?

    ALRIGHT AWESOME FIXED IT!

There was two problems.... one affected the video, the other the POSTing process.

PCIe slot number 1 = busted - hence no video.

CMOS clear switch must have been pressed at some point during shipping... went into the BIOS after I got video back and made some setting changes.

All the overlocking has been reverted to default so I get the joy of doing that all by myself....

I ran 3dmarkvantage on performance and on extreme:

Performance score: A little over 24k
    Extreme score: 10811

Going to start OC'ing tomorrow or later this week and I'll see what I can get.

nice, but you should turn off PhysX in order to bench Vantage. My score goes from like 16k to 23k between PhysX off and on.

However your numbers look right, which means everything is running like it should.

Do yout mean to say that the slot is damaged? If yes then i probably suggest you replace the mobo.

glad its running now. You also might want to check in the bios, now that you can get into it, to check the settings I mentioned earlier.

Yes. It is working. I connected through DVI>HDMI adapter and I can see my BIOS on the screen now. Not that I know what to do there but I can see it now. Thanks a lot.

no problem man, glad you got it working.

Honestly NVIDIA should list this on the box of the 295 that you must disable Multi-GPU Mode in order to use the HDMI output.

You can't use both GPUs if you use the HDMI output, it shouldn't even give you a signal if you try to enable it while on HDMI.

The easy way to get around it is to use the DVI port with a HDMI adapter, this way you can use HDMI (though you lose the sound advantage) and still use both GPUs.
