    Doesn't work here (build 7022 x86)
Low Level Driver running fine, but ATT.exe crashes.

1,263 volts for HD 4850 using ATT?

    Hi!

I have a question. Is it possible to force 4870's 3D voltage for 4850 using ATT? That would make it overclock like hell. I made a custom voltage saying 1,263 Unsafe! When I press apply, clocks drop from 764/1146 to stock and I can't rise them. Is this a bug or feature? Seems like the volts are there because temps rise a little according to GPU-Z. Cooling is not a problem because I have Accelero Twin Turbo installed :)

Never tested on 3200 integrated. So I assume overclocking is not supported for this type of board

I Know its BIOS only overclock, but the displayed clocks on ATT is wrong, but anyway, thank you

mikbe : it seems that you will need to mod your 4850's bios voltage registers.
    Use RBE 1.19+.

Hi Ray, I can confirm, sometimes there are different values for AA in 3d-settings. Sometimes it's 2x, 4x, 6x, and sometimes 2x, 4x, 8x. ATM there is no AA at all, and my system crashes immediately when i try to set any value for AA by ATT or by CCC.

System is XP Pro SP3, Catalyst 9.2, ATT 1.6.9.1382, Card is HD3870.

EDIT: In "...\ATI Tray Tools\Presets\d3d Max Quality.reg" i found the following line: "AntiAliasSamples"="6"

Same in registry and last3Dprofile has been "Max Quality". So i terminated ATT, manually changed AntiAliasSamples in $$ from 6 to 8, restarted ATT and this solved my problem.

By the way it's possible with Rivatuner...

I always use Ati Tray Tools but i need Rivatuner to lower a little bit voltage.

Lowest with ATT it's 1,08. With rivatuner... whatever you want. You just have to modify an hexadecimal value.

    http://foro.noticias3d.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=249099

You can see it there (But it's in spanish). I've made a guide about ATT using and other method's to optimize 4800 cards.

You may investigate how they do and add it to your fantastic program.
If you don't understand what the Rivatuner guide included there says just tell.

    :)

This is only for HD 4870 boards.

Not 100% correct. It must be a reference HD4870 (X2) otherwise it doesn't work since it doesn't have the needed VT11xx voltage regulator.

It's not possible to add something to ATT to not need Rivatuner in this case?

I mean there are no such ability for 4850.

No. I already wrote that I never will implement direct access to that sensor or a lot of people burn their boards.

Beta 1.6.9.1382 does not load with Windows Registry or Startup Menu Folder. I checked CurrentVersion/run and the key (or shortcut) is there but it just won't start. My previous (not so) stable ATT was 1374 and did not had this issue with CAT8.12 and XPSP2 Pro and Palit 4870... Any clues?

No clues. It should work. Is it loads when you start it manually?

Yes it does. I just reinstalled ATT with option 'Start with Windows' checked and finished with option 'Start ATT' checked but it did not start. Only manually. Will reinstall my previous ATT v1374 and report the results.

    UPDATE
After a second uninstall/reinstall ATT v1382 does start with Windows Registry.

Hi, I'm new on this forum :).
I just wanted to know why, if I set the processor overclocking over 3.00GHz, the crossfire option in Ati Tray Tools 1.6.9.1382 becomes unavailable and the second gpu doesn't work.
    I've got a Sapphire HD 4870 X2
    Thanks.

You can still disable the direct access by default. If you keep it hidden in the GUI of ATT, the only way of enabling would be the ini file which isn't easly found by noobs. This way only experienced users can enable it.

I see no connection between main CPU overclocking and GPU CrossFire option. I have my main CPU overclocked up to 3.6GHz, and no problems with CF :)
Just check may be you have PCI-E bus speed more than 100MHz?

The PCI-E bus speed is set on 100MHz.
Now I've tryed to set it on Auto but the result is the same: no CrossFire.
I can set it from 100 to 150 or Auto.
