They work fine for me with GPU acceleration in CS4 with SLI enabled. I've never changed any setting in the NVCP for CS4.

Me too. They seem to have forgotten about these cards.

I posted a thread here about this problem some time back, but no-one seems to be able to offer a workable fix.

No Downclocking here in 2D Mode. Still 3d clock in 2d mode.
Damn nvidsa. Shouldn't be that difficult.

The Mod on the NVIDIA forums reckons that the Code 43 error will be fixed by the end of March.

I own a 9800GTX+ and as far as I'm aware these cards NEVER clock down to 2D speeds (I believe it has something to do with the hardware). I've never had a set of drivers that clocked my card down when sat on the desktop.

Also, if you read up on the nvidia bios editor (which allows you to edit your cards bios) it states that 2D/3D clock settings do not work on 9800's.

Hello, guys!!! My first post here.

I´ve installed the 182.08 driver and then my video resolution can´t change anymore!
Its remains always 640x480. I´ve already desinstalled the driver, cleaned registry with Driver Cleaner.net, and reinstalled, without sucess. Can you help me please?

My monitor is a Samsung LCD 19" SyncMaster 932BWE Plus.
The resolution I always used is the default 1440x900

But now, when I try to change resolution in desktop, it returns to 640x480.
    Any tip?!!

They do, in 2d a 2d clock will be used, but some producers just use the same clock for both modes. But ususally you have a 2d and a 3d clock (like mine).

and again: this bug just exists on MULTI MONITORING !!! Just read the linked thread or another one @ nvidia forum itself:
    http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=86932

Its' a driver bug, it has been even recognized by nvidia itself, but not solved, not even in the 182.08.

    Fallout 3 - a visible gain on 182.08! 182.06 - did not notice it

Sorry, just beat the game after a few more hours of playing. There isn't squat of a gain in the game. In fact, I experienced a few crashes that had not happened before. But, I may be wrong. My wife tells me that all the time. :)

MSN/Windows Live Messenger still causes the gpu to jump into 3D clocks..

Honestly, who cares if they didn't downclock to 2D speeds? What's the difference in the realm of reality? Nothing.

Being a master cunninglinguist always helps the cause Unc. :) I'm already saving brownie-points for two of the next GPU's because I don't think that my i7 is truly stretching it's legs. As per Hilbert's own tests.....

Not to mention that I have one of the "good" i7's with a capable IMC which will overclock further and it's under water cooling. But, seriously, 4.0Ghz is MORE than adequate for now.
