4830 wins speed wise. A better comparison would pit the 4830 vs a 9800GT, at which it's still marginally faster. Stability? Depends on drivers. ATI's drivers are open to conversation. Some people find them great, others shaky. Personally, i've built many rigs with ATI solutions and found them to be rock solid before i shipped them out, so my vote goes to the 4830.
4830 is a nice card for its performance v price. definitely better than 96gt. if oc'd it can get close to 4850 performance.
Information source? I'm under the impression if anyone's going to wait, it's the 5xxx series because it has DX11 support. deltatux
The 4750 is marginally faster, and won't be out till April I think. Plus isn't it still DirectX 10.1? Why not pounce on a 4830 now? It's only 90 dollars on Newegg with free shipping. No mail-in-rebate required, no waiting. Although, I admit that if I knew a 4830 was coming out and would only be 100 dollars I wouldn't have bought the 4670.
Yeah, go for the 4830. Cheap and powerfull enough for modern games. The 9600GT is getting a little long in the tooth, but SLi it still kicks butt , but as a single card solution its really the bottom end of the spectrum of being able to actually run modern games (unlike those 8600/9400/9500 pieces of poo).
