This thing is still in Alpha and shouldnt even be a public beta test lol After all said and done the retail quake 3 is a beter game


I had to install Firefox just to get the game to play , Nothing i tried would work in IE 6 ..

 

Why would someone want to use IE6 over firefox is beyond my mind!

And of course Quake 3 Retail is a better game, this is made for just pure awesomeness!

Just to be able to log onto a site from anywhere in the world, install a 3mb plugin, and then play quake 3 ! It's just awesome !

Only Issue I have so far is the screen-tearing :\
But I can live with it tbh.

 

I played some last night... I got owned pretty bad. D:

 

Its just not a little plugin you have to download , Its actually 400+ MB download

 

I just tried it. Runs super-fast in the browser window, but couldn't get the full-screen to work without flickering (a known Windows 7 issue I think). Looks like the servers are getting overloaded though because the site keeps going down, and when you're actually get your choice of servers to join, by the time you connect, they're usually already full!

 

Never noticed it downloaded 400+mb :O
When does it do that?

 

During training + crash match i found the game to be fun but very basic and nostalgic makes me think back to the 90s

I love it, just a shame about the queues as in the closed beta there wasn't any ever, the queues have really put me off it as i don't think i'll load it up again until those are gone (but hey i'm also playing BF heroes so thats a reason aswell ).
