i was having problems with mirror's edge locking up on me with physx on with the 181.20 whql drivers (running sli). hopefully these will let me re-enable physx!

XP32 -- For me the 181.20 and 185.20 bug remains with changes to an invidual game's SLI mode not being remembered after a reboot (other settings like vsync are remembered, though). And it must be related that the wrong SLI mode is used for some games I have, so the SLI mode setting is not even being read right besides not saved.

UPDATE: Found the trouble, an nvapps.nvb file is installed with the driver. The control panel game settings are written to and read from nvapps.xml for the current Windows session, however nvapps.nvb is loaded on every reboot or logoff/on! So deleting nvapps.nvb now lets game setting changes to be remembered, but the default SLI mode is still wrong for Unreal Tournament 3 (I get much better FPS changing it to the "2" setting).

Hopefully 999,999 of them were deleted.
How about trying them for yourself instead of demanding service?

I doubt it because the driver only solves some problems in sli, and incluide driver physx 9.

Mirror's Edge run like crap with these ones(Weird).....Back to 181.20WHQL...Maybe they are optimized for the GTX 285/295, at least the Fallout fix seems to work. So the best driver for Fallout is 181.22 and 181.20 for Mirror's Edge.....:(

I get the same performance gains in GTA4 as I got with 181.20, but I also get the same visual artifacts as I got with 181.20.

Wow that was a fast response , Fallout 3 IS fixed for me as well , crashing in VATS outdoors. The game also runs much smoother as I had some micro-stutters? before , runs very well. Now I am ready for the F3 DLC.

    Farcry2 also runs very nice!!

    Very good driver for me.

PS: I guess reporting driver issues to Nvidia works!!

did you patch the game? physx lockup only occurs for me without the patch.

no difference in performance in mirror's edge between these and whql's.

OOOHH and of course its with the latest PhysX pack; 9.09.0010 with both driver(181.20 - 181.22).

I tried to reinstalled the 181.22 and nothing still the same crap running Mirror's Edge....The 181.20 is a nice set, they might wanna had the latest PhysX pack with 181.22 instead of the 8.10.13 included in the 181.20...?

You are absolutely right. I have the exact same issue in xp32 sp3. And you are also right about better perfomance with AFR2 in UT3. And thanks for mentioning SLi profile setting fix. I don't have to set profiles after every reboot anymore. :approval:

OK i believe i have good news for UT3 fans although none of them in this thread:)!I had only one crash after playing some time but i think this may had something to do with my cpu because i was overclocking it at the time and i hadn't checked for stability.Other than that the game runs just fine and i haven't experienced any other crash even on the warfare maps that most people seem to have problems with.SO keepers for me.

PS.I tested them with physx enabled on Nvidia control panel and hardware acceleration "on" in UT3 settings.

    PS 2.Sorry for my english...:nerd:

    Are you sure? ;)
I`m reading this forum with fingers crossed from months, hoping some day new driver will be worth of installing and will not ruin my UT3 gameplay. By now I`m still using good old 177.92... Anyway - thanks for info! :)

My UT3 crashed within seconds of starting a map...just like any other 18x series driver.
