Fallout 3 crashed every time I left the Vault(I just started the game). I switched back to 180.48's and no problems at all. Uninstalled and deleted.

Has anyone experienced a problem in Windows 7, where the nv drivers will not allow you to select a 60 Hz refresh rate? I have tried 4 different drivers all with the same result, including this one, 185.20 .

I realize this is an alpha driver, but 180.48 and 181.20 are WHQL...

My Samsung Monitor is connected via DVI, which should be at 60 Hz, as it is in Vista, but when in the Windows 7 nv control panel, I get 2 options for refresh rate 59 and 60 Hz. When I select 60 Hz, the screen flickers and the asks me if I want to keep the settings. I tell it yes, but it just pops right back to 59 Hz. I even tried creating a custom resolution at 60 Hz, but it failed the test and reverted to 59 Hz.

    Anyone else have any insight?:bang::bang::bang:

Did you install the drivers for your monitor?

Yes I did. Windows update had the same one up for 7 as for Vista.

    Nice rig btw:)

    Thanks. Yours is better. :D

Hm, regarding the 60 Hz issue: since everything was/is fine in Vista, I assume it's caused by Windows 7 and not by the driver. :frown:

Sorry, but 7 still has quite a few bugs...

Otherwise, I guess, you could try this:

Same thing here for my Samsung T260 connected by HDMI. Does it make any difference, though?

I have been pretty impressed with 7 so far. It's fast, stable and looks good too;)

I appreciate the link, I will give that a shot.

I have never really noticed, I just install it because it's there, lol. There are several hardware updates on Windows update that I usually install. I figure they are there for a reason... or maybe not? lol

Are you suffering the same 59 Hz issue?

I found my older post... and as we speak I'm making an IMAGE just in case cuz I have W7 running perfect and even installed games that didn't run just out of the game folder, like GRID / FALLOUT3... so when the image is done i', gonna think what to install 181.20 or 185.20 180.84 ... what should I do on W7?? anyone good experience?? :pc1:

EDIT: Well my W7x32 WDM1.1 vs 185.20 preformed as followed!

    (WDM1.1)FARCRY2 min26/avg35/max51 VeryHigh 0xAA
    (WDM1.1)DMC4 30-40 ingame 60bench 4xAA :3eyes:

    (185.20)FARCRY2 min35/avg46/max62 VeryHigh 0xAA
    (185.20)DMC4 40-50 ingame 75bench 8xAA :nerd:

Nice but... running the FC2 Bench a couple of times resulted in BlackSOD
nother other than flippin' tha switch! :bang:

Tommorow I'll revert back and try 181.20 :pc1:

Got problems with this driver and Vista 64 Bit:

RivaTuner Launcher Items seem to lock up after a while. So if i change overclocking profiles acouple of times they seem to lock up or "freeze" so that i cant switch to another profile. Only thing that helps is a complete restart.

    Anyone else noticed this?

Switched back to latest whql 181,20 : everything fine again.

Are you sure you cleaned before installing??

---- and here more input & questions from me -----

Only when I install 181.20 or 185.20 over the standard W7 driver I can go to the NVCP... if I uninstall & clean, then install the system gets instable and cannot get in NVCP :3eyes:

    And 180.84 & 180.48 I cannot install W7 says that i'm not in Vista32 :wanker:

BTW or the ones interrested: [W7x32bit]
    FC2 Bench DX10 VeryHigh (WDW1.1) 28.22/35.74/50.61
    FC2 Bench DX10 VeryHigh (181.20) 33.35/43.08/59.97
    FC2 Bench DX10 VeryHigh (185.20) 34.58/43.16/60.95

the weirdest thing now happened, got lots of game crashes so wanted back to WDW1.1 but didn't work... So restored.. still no WDW1.1 just VGA so forced W7 to use WDM1.1 and ques what NVCP works and runs like it's best of all 3combined??? WTF :stewpid:

Also good to know, the following games don't work... how hard I try, only with WDM1.1 they seem running stable and WO glitches!:
-NFS underground (f*cks up when using 185.20)
    -XMEN3 (only WDM sometimes works)
-Kane&Lynch (like WDM best, but if you remove setting.. it will run long enough to get you through the visual setup and correct things)

FallOut3 looks nice runs good with WDM1.1/185.20/181.20
but just to make sure I understand... whats a VATS??
I only got out off the VAULT en in/out of MEGATON?? (using pipboy)

Then some UBER annoying problems before my Vista crashed I saved all savegames... but having alot of problems using my OFFLINE GFWL account
I had to start all over for the next couple of games: :wanker:
-FlatOut Ultimate Carnage (allmost completed game, so that s*cks)
-FallOut3 (just want to know before next crash happens)
-GTA4 (this one bothers me the most cuz if finished the game twice etc.)

The next games don't use GFWL but are a pain to get working again:
    -Titan Quest
    -Kane & Lynch

All other 20+ games saved game are nicely recovered :pc1:

Anyone who has some tips regarding W7 / specific driver / or savegame thnx!

Game that doesn't work correctly on my rig so far:

    - Devil May Cry 4: There is some strange artifacting/incorrect rendering concerning motion blur (especially noticable in the cinematics, not really noticable in the benchmark)

is anyone else having this problem? i just installed windows 7 x64 beta.
and after that i updated my win7 and installed 185.20. everything went smoothly.

after the restart, i went to nvidia control panel and to my surprise the ambient occulsion is missing. it was there in vista x64.

is there a solution for this?

    thanx

Can i ask anyone, Im having a problem with Unreal Tournament 3 ATM as it crashes after around 10mins of gameplay, people have experenced the same problem and there solution was about sound drivers, i tried this and it didnt work. I was wondering if these nVidia drivers were the source of the problem. Has anyone else had this problem with UT3?

    Thank You

I played several games of UT3 today with 185.20. No problems. I also downloaded the latest PhysX drivers.
