Hello all, I stumbled upon an option called 'Digital Vibrance' when fussing around in the colors section of my card's drivers. (180.48) It has a slider to change the value from 0 to 100%, and when used, it seems to give the colors a little boost, hence increasing 'vibrance.' Does anyone else use this? I have it set at 12% with an Acer AL2216W and everything looks much better.

    Regards,

    ~Skyline

I have it set to 10% all the colors get saturated & too bright after that, but yeah it's a nice little vibrancy boost.

Mhhh i dont use it on my syncmaster 931c.

Its because you loss several shades, i mean you could no more differ (?)
    some bright red, green, blues....

To test use the tool ***** Monitor Test.
    DL:
    http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/Other-VIDEO-Tools/*****-Monitor-Test.shtml

You see the difference if you increase the digital vibrance...

Test it out if you want to use it, you loose details.
For you who already use it, i think it is to be addictive and you cant turn it off...

Oh sry for my english, its now even worse because the mhhhh.... 5 beers. :)

You can view test images if you go here: http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/

I don't use DV on my main screen, but on my crappy old Philips 170B2 it makes the world of difference.

I like around 15%. Trouble is, I find some of the beta NVIDIA drivers sometimes don't seem to let the DV settings stick. It's quite a common issue you'll see people talk about in the forums now and again.

I set mine to 6% on my Samsung 226BW, it's a bright monitor to start with so anymore and it feels like it's burning my eyes :p . I generally test it by moving the slider until i notice it then move it back until the effects lessen.

Use it at 75% on my BenQ G2400W LCD Monitor in Vista 64 & 50% in XP. Also use it on my laptop at 50%.

Can't live without this setting. I set it up with all my computers (7 of them).

Wow. I was totally just pondering whether I wanted a 4870 and never realized I'd have to give up Digital Vibrance.

**** that... I keep it set to %50 on my desktop and 100% on mylaptop and can't live without it. Colors are a bit exaggerated, but its easier on the eyes and prettier.

The option has been around for a loooong time. I used to use it b4 I got a good monitor. Back on my CRT believe it or not. I have no need for it now though. My monitor has great color and contrast without it.

I use DV around 10% for my LCD also. I just like a little more saturated colors i guess.
