I like the name a lot, I just don't like the zombie shooter a la Doom and all the others we've had. Wish they'd try something different, though it is hard to come up with something new.
Thanks for the info and link to the tech demo - I loved it, I think it looks amazing... and way better than those nvidia gp-gpu demos we got a few months back when the cuda / phyisX drivers came out, what a let down they were (at least for me)... This demo truly shows the potential of phyisX on gpu and I'm now converted even on my aging card...!
Actually the game was made in Russia and there it's called Anabioz: Son razuma. And should be more like "The sleep of mind" not the sleep of reason... BTW thales100 STALKER is a Ukranian(hope I wrote it right) game....
Got 36 FPS avg. Everything set to highest but motion blur effects are disables and AF was one notch up from off (no use for 16x in that kind of environment), with hardware physics.
I do agree as You advance in the game it is becoming more and more interesting, the graphic is just outstanding. physx is "shining" at it's glory and there is for the first time I've ever seen the pixel shader 4.0 presented in the game.
Why can't half the industry rip off mass effect or fallout instead of doom? Ah well, it's still not as bad as it used to be. Almost every game seemed to copy C&C / DOOM for like 3 years back in the day.
thales100>in Your link the answers is about kitchen and the dogs, not about the "Light" level. p.s. patch for the Rus. version of the game (the one we play) has apeared: http://games.1c.ru/anabioz/?type=file&file_id=495
just finished, realized it myself, the game is awsome, the storyline is also interesting at least it has a moral at the end. Gfx superb, only You need hell of a computer to run it smoothly. Russians made a nice story-game with some unusual gameplay elements. 9/10. p.s. molodcy rebiata, pozdravliaju s Litvy. Peace.
